Entrance Preview

First, we have to fill up online application form. For admission in this college students must have a good score in this Entrance Exam.The Entrance exam is conducted by our collegeEvery student must be Graduate in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subject combination.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course curriculum is good.We have both practical and theory papers.Practicals are done in computer labs.Exams are conducted in scheduled time.All the students have to appear in all the exams.It's mandatory.The course structure is designed by Shimla University, and it was student friendly and all the faculties of our department are also very nice.

Internships Opportunities

Our college placement cell give us training for placements and offer Internship programme.They also pay us for internships.Internships are very necessary for working in an MNC in future.It gives us a feeling of the real corporate world.Internships gives us a lot of experience to understand the working culture of a Corporate Industry.

Placement Experience

Placements from our college is very satisfactory.All the Students do get placements in reputed Industries and MNCs.Specially in Computer Application course, our college is the best college of up to.It provides job to most of the students.Placement percentage is 80%, which I think more than enough for our Institution.

College Events

Events are memorable.We had a lot of fun in the events.In the cultural events, I and my friends perform a dance in our first year.Everyone should participate in their favorite event.The Foundation Day of our college is also very interesting and enjoyable.Experts from other Universities are invited and they visit our college on the foundation day and deliver a very motivational speech.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides many kinds of scholarships.It is very good.They give scholarships to financially backward students.The Minority Commission provide this scholarship to minority students.Reserved category Students also get scholarships.Students who are physically handicapped are also eligible to receive a scholarship from our college.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
