Remarks
The training division at PHFI builds capacity of health systems personnel at various critical levels including both managerial and thematic capacity. Health systems training at PHFI has included training on program management and evaluation, health policy analysis, ICT in public health, data management, decision making and leadership among other areas.
Entrance Preview
I got admission through management quota. It is mandatory for all the candidates seeking admission in to the MPH Course under the Convener and Management quota will have to appear for the common entrance examination. Only on the common merit list published by KNRUHS both the Convener and Management quota seats will be allotted in open counseling. If a candidate does not appear in the common entrance examination, he / she will not be considered under Management and Convener quota for admission to MPH Programme.
Course Curriculum Overview
First year of the course with two semesters covers five core modules viz., Bio statistics, Epidemiology, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Environmental and Occupational Health, and Health Management and policy followed by a practicum opportunity in the field. In the second year i.e., the third semester, students can choose subjects according to their interests & pursue a track.
Placement Experience
All the students are required to attend the pre-placement talk by the potential employers, arranged by the placement cell. Once the placement cell shares the student profiles with potential employers, details of shortlisting will be communicated to the students. The shortlisted students are required to attend the initial meeting/ interview with the organization, after discussion with the placement cell.
College Events
The Public Health Foundation of India is leading a four-year initiative (2012-2016), funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, that aims to develop and scale up evidence-based interventions to achieve the goal of improving RMNCHN health behaviours by an average of 10 percent points among marginalized population in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
