Remarks

PHFI has conducted training across stakeholders including dietitians, nutritionists, researchers, medical faculty among others. The role of training in public health nutrition is critical in bridging the gap in evidence related to nutrition and disease, and defining pathways and specific actions to apply epidemiological methods to nutrition in terms of methods of data collection, analytical procedures, and interpretation of findings.

Entrance Preview

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in medicine,dentistry, ayurvedic medicine, homeopathy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, social sciences, life sciences, nutrition, veterinary sciences, management, biotechnology, statistics, engineering, law, journalism. It is desirable that the candidates may have studied Mathematics at High School level. Shortlisted candidates would then be interviewed and the final list will be announced.

Currently four tracks are being offered viz., Public Health Disability, Public Health Surveillance; Bio statistics and Data Management and Epidemiology of Communicable Diseases. Besides the above modules the course curriculum includes modules on gender & ethics, public health law, disaster preparedness and management for health professionals, grant writing and research methods.

Regularly conducts various workshops and training programs on related topics. Won PHD chambers of Commerce award for Excellence in skill development for the year 2015. Centre for Control of Chronic Conditions and Injuries won 2015 ASSOCHAM commendation and Certificate of Merit for outstanding contribution under the category of Best NGO- Skill Development. PHFI signed MoU with NHSRC and AHPI for a capacity building initiative in Healthcare Quality.

Campus Life

Practical labs with innovative and sophisticated machines are available at IIPH so that students can practice their skills and know about health sector in a better way. Facility of library is also available for students at IIPH. The library is loaded with books on different subjects and is categorized according to the courses offered so that students do not face any issues in finding the right set of books.

The geology has very significant importance to human in more ways but the Geology related jobs are very less in state government and central government. Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the biotechnology course includes all the relevant topics needed to gain information about the subject. The curriculum also includes currently developing topics of interest which may gain popularity in the future (like bioinformatics). It thoroughly prepares us for real world applications as we gain exposure to various fields of interest in the subject and get a hands-on training in the subject. Ab area i would like to suggest for improvement is to alot equal no. Of periods to different papers in the subject as each topic has its own value in the academic and career purpose. The internals are conducted every month within a duration of 1 hour for each paper. there are currently 4 internals for our batch, each of 10 marks. The externals or the end semester exams are conducted at the end of the semester approx 6 months, which are of 50 marks. 10 marks is alloted for attendance, bringing the total to 1000.

The 2nd semester students are eligible for the placements and Infosys and many other companies hired our college for the jobs and offers were also good as 3lakhs to 4 lakhs per annually Nearly 70%of the students got placement I am very happy by getting seat in this university as I also will get and job in any of the placement cell
