Course Curriculum Overview
I am studying mechanical engineering. The quality of teaching is good but traditional methods are still followed and most of the study is theoretical. The curriculum is updated frequently and has all recent developments. It may not make you job-ready but there are internships and industrial visits and lectures that are provided that help a lot.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't opted for the internship program because I was preparing for GATE mainly but with the help of a recommendation letter from a professor, you can easily get internships in the same city, since Amravati has lots of industries around. And there are mainly one minor project submission and major project submission in 3rd year and the final year respectively which helps us to use our theoretical knowledge in the practical field also.
Placement Experience
The placements are really good for IT and Computer Science. The rest of the branches adopted get placed in these companies. The packages start from 4 LPA and may get up to 12LPA and sometimes even more. The placement process was easy and the college is very supportive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee is 40K for OBC and 80K for general category students and is affordable. For NT, and SC students it's less than 1000 Rs. The college also offers lots of scholarships not only from the government but also NGOs.
Campus Life
The campus life is really good. We have a lot of activities and clubs year-round. Music club, dance club, art club, and many others. The students are nice and there has not been a single ragging incident since I've been here. The teachers and staff are nice. The location is away enough to afford peace and close enough that all facilities are within walking distance.
Interview Experience
Look choose your branch according to your interest, every branch you choose is best on its own. I was interested in electrical networks and related equipment hence I chose Electrical engineering. There is a 1:6 faculty-to-student ratio when I was studying, every time this ratio varies due to visiting faculties. There are a minimum of 5 Ph.D. holder faculties in every department along with other professors. And they are good at their jobs, but most of the time these Ph.D. holder teachers assign visiting faculties for their subject instead of them teaching actually. But if you have any doubt about the subject you can ask the professors right away, they help students but most of the time they are not in their cabins so better to note down every doubt in a separate book and visit them whenever they are available
