Remarks
The admission process is through JOSAA and CSAB counseling after JEE. Same for all the IITs and NITs. One needs to qualify for JEE and then go through the counseling process where he/she is allowed the college and branch as per the choices filled and his/her JEE score. Reservation benefits are there for OBC, SC/ST, EWS, and female candidates. It's working quite well so, no such need for improvement.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Mechanical Engineering cuz it has a wide scope of career options. One has the option for core branch placements as well as noncore and Mechanical Engineering can also be taken as an optional subject in UPSC. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good here and almost all the facilities are Ph.D. from top IITs. There is a mid-semester exam, an end-semester exam, and a few quizzes in between the two. The difficulty level is quite moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are provided in both core and noncore. MNC like amazon, Goldmann Sachs etc. Provide a stipend ranging between 50k to 1.5L per month. Core companies also come for internships like TATA motors and provide around 20k per month stipend. Grabbing a good internship is quite difficult in core as you have to maintain an excellent CGPA.
Placement Experience
There are internships available in the 3rd year of College. Companies like amazon, Flipkart, DeShaw, Goldmann Sachs, etc visit the college for internships as well as placements. Core placements are also above average. The highest package was 64 LPA offered by Apple in campus placements to 6 students this year. The average package of CSE is 20 LPA in 2021. 18 LPA in ECE, And 11LPA in Mechanical. The Placement percentage in Mechanical Engineering was 88% and 98% in both CSE and ECE. Everyone with a decent Cg who wants placements gets placed in our college. I'm in 2nd year now and looking forward to placing in a tech MNC.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is fee remission for financially weaker sections. There is a 100% tuition fee remission if the family income is below 1 lakh per annum and a 66% fee remission if the family income is between 1 to 5 lakhs. There are a large number of scholarships provided by the college, the government, and the Alumni for almost every category of students. So there's no need to worry about the fee structure.
Campus Life
Blitzslag is the annual cultural fest of MNIT held in the month of February. Youth Fest (annual sports fest) is in the month of January and the Tech fest(Sphinx) is organized in the month of November. There are events going all around the calender as Inter NIT sports meet, Freshers Orientation, Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, etc. The classroom is huge and has all the facilities like Air Conditioning, Projectors, smart screens, etc. The Library has a large variety of books but some are limited in number and are allotted on a first come basis so you have to go on the same day or the next if you want the books recommended by the teachers. There are a large number of clubs in the college for every domain and can start your own whenever you want. According to the new policy, every student has to be enrolled in at least one under technical and one club under cultural society.
