I had appeared JEE, ORISSA in 2002 after completion of my intermediate.I had joined my intermediate in 2002 in science stream and secured 65% of marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was vast but interesting. I have learnt a lot . I have studied 48 subjects in these 4 years of degree program. I have completed 20 Labs in these 4 years. Most of the labs were related to computer science and engineering department. In first year , i had studied physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Internships Opportunities
In the final year i had done the internship in terms of final year project. The college arranged a guide to me and provided training through outside trainers from one of the training institute from vishakha patnam. The trainer trained me JAVA programming and its implementation in my project. No stipend was offered to me very few companies came for recruitment. these companies are satyam, tcs, infosys, aptech.
Placement Experience
Around 50% of the students from my college got selected in the campus interview.Tata consultancy Servies, Infosys, Satyam Computers and Aptech World wide companies came to my college.They offer between 1.5 lakhs to 3.2 lakhs per annum.
College Events
Every year we celebrated Annual function in my college. the function was being conducted for 3 days most of the times . In these three days, we were conducting and participating in various technical and cultural activities. Technical activities like paper presentation, poster presentation, project show, architectural models, science exhibition etc,blood donation camps was also conducted and we and some of the NSS students were arranged the camp.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was feasible.in the first year they took Rs.31000 and the rest three years 22400 rupees. Apart from this , we were paying examination fees of rupees 1060 in every semester.Training fees also extra.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has provided loans to high percentage students . I have never availed it. few of the ST and SC students availed it. because their cutoff percentage to become eligible for this scholarship was low as compared to general or other caste candidates. They were providing study loans to few students with some condition.
Campus Life
The gender ratio in my college was 3.1 for boys:girls. Every weak the students were celebrating parties in hostels. I was being invited by them sometimes. Cultural functions on Aug 15, Jan 26th and annual day of the college was being conducted. Girls were provided more security than boys. No partiality to religions. No political issues.The economic standard of the college was above average.
Hostel Facilities
I was staying at home. The college has 12 boys hostels and 8 girls hostels in and outside of the college. The fee was Rs .34000 per annum.They provide accomodation, lunch, breakfast, snacks and dinner everyday.in one room three students were staying.
Alumni/Alumna
Our relationship with our seniors was good but not the best. There was less interaction with my seniors. Because i was staying at home. The hostel boys and girls had good interaction as the seniors and juniors were sharing same hostels. We had interaction with few alumni couple of times during annual day and alumni meet.
Exam Structure
The exam was of three hours . It was not so hectic day because there was only one exam in a day and few days of gap to the next exam.Labs were also very flexible and it was chilled out.
Faculty
they were just out of the world excellent. There were 22 faculties in my department out of them 1 was Head of the Department and acted as professor in the department. 6 other doctorate professors, 8 Associate professors and the rest were assistant profess
