To enrol at Jadavpur University you have to get a good rank in the WBJEE exam. you can find the applications form on WBJEE's official website there is no cut for this exam but for getting enrolled in this college you have to get a very good rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well-designed and well oriented and students: faculty ratio is 10:1. All the faculty are very knowledgeable person many of them have multiple PhD degrees. more than 25 faculty belongs to the top 2% of scientist in the world. Talking about exam there is two Class Test in each semester and at the end of the semester there is a semester exam if you study well it is easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
For internships, very few companies visit here like Amazon, D.E. Shaw, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, PWC and some others too. stipend carries from 30000-100000. The project is assigned by the company so obviously, it depends upon the company.
Placement Experience
Placement usually starts in 7 semesters. Top companies like Amazon, Google, Apple, Rippling, Slice and many more visit here for campus placement. Last year the total offer was around 1000+ and the highest package was 1.2 crore. the package depends from company to company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are low here and I don't think the fee is gonna hike in the coming year at least for 5-6 years. also, you can apply for scholarships like freeship as well as other scholarships from the state and central government. Placement is very good here in my department 90% of student got placement.
Campus Life
There are many fests here like CIIPUS, Sanskriti, Srijan and many more. Here are 2 libraries where you can study but book availability is quite low here. The classroom is well oriented and every classroom has a projector installed. also at Jadavpur University, many students club exist like the code club, photography club, science club and many more.
Hostel Facilities
Every student doesn't get a hostel here for getting a hostel you have to give an interview. after the interview, you will get your personal room with a bed, table, fan, light and a wardrobe. The meal is not good here it needs to be improved. the hostel is affordable you have to give 300 per year for the hostel fee and around 2000 per month for the mess charge. you can find PG as well it is easily available.
