Remarks

Students must have to appear in WBJEE or JEE examination. Students can get admission through counseling or can get direct admission, but attempting WBJEE or JEE is necessary. The admission process should be more flexible so that more students can join.

Course Curriculum Overview

Electronics and Communication is the stream from where you can go to both core and IT companies. Every year 120 take admitted in this stream, and approximately 40 faculty members. All the faculty members are highly qualified. MAKAUT conduct 4 CAs and 2 PCAs and a semester exam in 6 months.

Internships Opportunities

Microsoft, web skitters, IBM, and many more companies give internship opportunities. Every student is involved in their respective unique projects. Many international conferences also take place in our college.

Placement Experience

Students sit in campus interviews from the 6th semester. Few companies that visit for campusing: Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, etc. The highest package of 2021 is 10 lakh and the average package is 5 lakh per annum. Almost 90 percent of students is placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fees include 66530 (without hostel). 2nd sem fees: 42450, 2nd-year fees: 86450, 3rd-year fees : 88450, 4th-year fees: 90450, West Bengal students can apply for SVMCM scholarships (Rs.60000 for 4 years). Campusing is good.

Campus Life

The college conducts a cultural and tech fest every year. The college also conducts freshers' parties and induction programs. Lots of books are there in the library. The college also conducts annual sports. The college has an AICTE lab and tech club.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The main reasons for choosing this college was- 1.I had heard a lot about this college in terms of teaching style and the other faculty members. 2. This college provides a good placement . 3. In wbjee minimum rank you should get to admit in cse it branches is 30000... application form are available in college site..it should be better if u do it in offline mode..in a year 2 semesters are organised one in December and one in June....more workers should be hired during admission time.....Read More
