Remarks
I am pursuing B.Tech in ECE Branch. To reach MNIT Jaipur you need to clear JEE Mains exam conducted by NTA. Most of the PCM guys know about it. These all things are present on the NTA website for jee mains. Then you need to seat in JOSAA or CSAB seat allotment round where you will be allotted to the college according to your rank. For ECE during my batch cutoff rank for GENERAL students outside the state was nearby 10500 rank. In all NIT 50% of seats are reserved for state quota. But in Rajasthan, many people from other states come to Kota for studying 12th so the Rajasthan quota is applied to them also. Hence Rajasthan students face the disadvantage of state quota. For Reserved there are many benefits they get relaxation in tuition fees and they get many scholarships also
Course Curriculum Overview
As my batch was delayed due to covid. We have to complete 3 semesters in a single year. So we didn't get much relaxation between term exams. We even didn't get our summer vacations. If you just need to pass then you can easily do it but to get a good cgpa its difficult you need to be consistent in studying and going to classes.
Placement Experience
I don't have much knowledge about placements as I am in 3rd semester only. But still, as I have talked with my seniors all big companies visit the college for giving internships and placements. The previous year our college's highest package was 64 lakhs. After the 4th sem companies start visiting colleges. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, deshaw, and apple. This year I don't why our college got blacklisted from amazon. Many core companies also visit like texas, reliance, BPCL, etc. Getting a placement in this college is really very easy. Most of the companies even give you PPOs
Fees and Financial Aid
I feel our NIT Fees are very high. As in a government college paying 80000 (without reservation)as college fee for each sem is very high. There are not many hikes with increasing years. Here you get many state scholarships and students whose family income is below 1 lakh have zero tuition fees. For a 1-5 lakh family income two third of tuition fees need to be paid.
Campus Life
College life is very pleasant. There are many clubs present in college. Its cultural festival is blitzschalg Rajasthan's 2nd biggest fest conducted in February. Many celebrities are also invited to this. Techfest's name is Sphinx held near December. It has a very huge library having books of all interests and at a time you can issue 8 books. MNIT has VLTC's largest lecture theatre in Asia. Where lecture and guest lectures are conducted. Our college court for almost all sports and sports equipment are also provided by the sports complex. It has sports like basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, javelin, athletics, javelin, tennis, table tennis, chess, etc. Many jamming sessions are conducted by students workshops are held by various clubs. It has ZINE as a robotics club, E=mc2 and levels as a dance club, and many other clubs like photography, mavericks, think India, NSS, debating, etc.
