Remarks
The admission is conducted via the VITEEE examination which is conducted by VIT only. Based on the rankings in the respective examination, the courses are offered to all the students through the counseling process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The current batch strength is exceptionally high but all hopes are on VIT's previous placement records. Coming to the point about choosing this course, based on the college rankings and the stream which I was being offered seemed a pretty decent choice.
Internships Opportunities
In the third year, each student must do an internship to achieve the total number of credits required for obtaining the B.Tech degree. Apart from that, there are also various projects for students to work on, all of which are under the curriculum only.
Placement Experience
As for this, whatever we know is based on what others say(100% placement). But still, we know that a lot of companies do visit the campus, and the fact that the placement procedure is a joint one,i.e, all the students attend the placement procedure jointly in Vellore.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships offered to the students are again based on the entrance examination rankings.Their are different categories of scholarship(Category 1 to Category 5):A rough estimate is: Category 1:195000/yr Category 2:295000/yr Category 3:395000/yr Category 4:495000/yr Category 5:595000/yr
Campus Life
The campus here is a pretty big one with several food outlets, a gym, indoor games, etc. There are two fests conducted each year: 1)TechnoVit(Technical fest) 2)Vibrance(Cultural fest) There are plenty of clubs here too corresponding to various fields.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel quality according to me is okayish excepting the dreadful living conditions for students in Non-ac rooms in the summer season. Yet, the hostel accommodation charges are a somewhat pricey. Apart from that, the mess food is just above average.
