Remarks

For the entrance, we have cleared the IIT JEE Mains entrance exam. Applied for the Jossa counselling and got the CSE course in counselling. The cutoff for the CSE branch jossa counselling was 35000. I got into the college in the 2nd round of JOSSA counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is well systematic and provides good knowledge of the CS fundamentals and good knowledge of programming also. We have additional courses which provide practical knowledge for the programming subjects. The professors and faculties here are very decent and have great knowledge of the subjects. They are very helpful.

Internships Opportunities

Several companies visit here for internship opportunities. They provide internships with pre-placement offers also. The 6th semester here is dedicated to the internship and students have to do six months of internship. In case any students don't get an internship the college provides IVI for the students.

Placement Experience

On campus placement are very good here . previous year placement was very good with almost 13 lpa average package . The highest package offered was 47 lpa . this year several companies visited the college and the highest package is 60 lpa this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the college is the Institute fee -102500 for my year, hostel fee - 35000 almost. Colleges provide several scholarships depending on the caste category, state category, and other various aspects.

Campus Life

College life is very good here. we had various cultural, sports, and technical clubs. We have the annual cultural sports and technology fest Mridang, algae, and Miraki respectively. The campus provides various budgets for technical sports and cultural clubs.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel here is well maintained and is in very good condition. all the cleansing of the hostels is done by cleaners every weekend i.e. Saturdays and Sundays. There are different messes here for the non-veg and veg people. Mess food quality is very good. students provide feedback to the mess community regularly.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
