Life and Growth at IIIT Una

Eligibility of course for me was 65 percent in class 12 (non-medical). I researched colleges providing CSE degrees with my rank and filled counseling accordingly. Got a seat at IIITU via the CSAB round, got a seat in round 1, my category rank was 5101 applied via the ST category, the admission process was very smooth and good, and there is no need for improvement in the admission process.

The faculty is good, they tell students to take initiative and prefer a more self-learning approach which is really good at college we can't expect everything to be spoon-fed to us. To me, exams were very difficult to pass in the first 2-3 years but as I reached final year I started learning faster and acing them. My cgpa was 6.5 yet I was the first 50-60 students that got placed in my batch because of this self-learning approach.

I did a virtual internship provided by the college under a professor who was very helpful and supportive doing an internship under him was bliss and I learn REACT framework and many new technologies and frameworks.

In the seventh semester, we become eligible for campus placement and the companies that have visited us in 7th semester include cdot, jio, Deloitte, subex, smart coin, netmeds, amazon, and coverstock. delloite i think 10-12 for 7.6 lpa. Amazon took 8 students for 40 CTC. jio 23 students for 8.5 CTC. smart coin 3 students for 15 CTC. and for the rest interview process is still going.

I got placed at jio with a package of 8.5 lahks LPA, my cgpa is 6.5. I didn't get any financial assistance and the hostel fee hiked from 20k to 35k. Only someone who was an annual income greater than 12 LPA can afford to send his/her son to this college.

Annual fests were started from my batch mariachi, it is average requires more funding. though we have had celebrities like Amrit Mann at our campus for mariachi -2022. My library is very small and not great books are not highly available, books are rare and we also rarely require them in hard copies. For sports, we have a football ground, 2 basket ball courts and ( 2 badminton courts are present in every hostel ). Epmoc is the cultural group in our college which takes responsibility for all managing activities.
