Review of IIT Mandi

For this course you have to appear in JEE Advance after qualifying in jee mains you can appear in the exam. The level of JEE Advance Is very high so you have to practice more and more if you want to qualify. All details of jee mains are given on its website. Jee mains have 4 exams in a year but jee advance has only 1 so you have to prepare well. Application fees are 2800 for general and 1400 for SC/ST. and application dates can be found on the official site www.jeeadvance.in The admission process is very good but there should be a Change also the paper should be made somewhat easy so that students can gain confidence after going out of the examination hall.

I did not choose this course, I have been allotted it. The faculty is very good except for some teachers. The faculty is also very much interactive. So this is a plus point with this institute. The faculty is highly qualified and also has good teaching methods. But the strength of the classroom is very high and there is hard to clear everyone's doubts. Term exams are timely but the quizzes teacher can take by his will. There is no difficulty in passing the exam but it is very difficult to take a very good CGPA.

Big roles are offered to students in the internship itself and the good student is also given. There are also students that are currently doing their internships in big companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. Various projects are given in the clubs and classroom also and thy also give suggestions about the projects. A new thing can be invented by the projects.

After the sixth-semester students are eligible for campus placements and also there is a good percentage of students are placed in Campus placements itself. There are many companies visiting the campus because it has a different department for campus placement that attract the companies. The highest package is 47 LPA and the average package is 12 LPA which is a good package. Nearly 80 percent of students get campus placements. I want to take placement after doing the degree and also open my own startup of robotics.

There is so much fees taken by the students. Only the tuition fee is 2 lakhs so how everyone can afford that. There is a scholarship but only for students having a family income of less than 5 lakhs. What about students having a family income slightly greater than 5 lack ( such as 550000) they will not get any scholarship benefit. This is very wrong with this institution. But we can get jobs after 3 years and also can get a stipend by becoming teaching assistants in our second year itself. Overall the fees are very high.

There is an annual sports fest Rann neeti conducted in the month of November and also pro nights are celebrated with it. Everyone enjoys the fest. Fests are conducted very often. The technical fest expectonis celebrated in the month of December and the cultural fest exodia is celebrated in the month of February. There are many books in the library and the librarians are very good. Nearly every week new books are introduced. In the classroom, there are many facilities such as a room heater and also a cooling system available. If someone wants to make a career in sports it is not difficult, every type of equipment and playground is present here and there are many extracurricular events. There are many clubs i.e. a club for every branch and also some common clubs but they are open for every branch anyone can join them. Every club is operational. All website of clubs are run by students and also photography and video making is also done by students for which extra club is there.

Everything is present in the room that includes an almirah, a large study table, a good foamed chair for sitting, a good length bed for sleeping and also curtains for windows are provided. The Mess menu is very good but the food quality is not as good as it should have been. There is no registration process for the hostel and to take hostel is compulsory for the b.yech students. The hostel is affordable it is not more than 12 thousand per year. There is no need to rent a room. because the hostel facility is just amazing.
