Remarks

For the admission process, firstly you have to clear an exam WBJEE or JEE Main. If you got a good rank of approx. 18k you got this college with CSE dept. I also joined in Computer Science department in this college via WBJEE.

I choose this course because nowadays this is a good option for engineering students. After all, the software industry is increasing daily and will be the future of technology. The course curriculum is good but the courses need to be improved so that students can learn the newest technology to cope with the industry standards.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements will be eligible from the 4th year or 7th semester. The placement & job opportunity is average in our college. In our college which companies were visited, they are mostly software based. The average package is 3 LPA. Infosys, Cognizant, and Wipro visited our college. On average 60-65% of students get placements maybe.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is around 45,000/- per semester. I got a Swami Vivekananda Merit cum means scholarship from West Bengal. This scholarship is available for students whose family income is less than 2 lakhs annually. College placement is good.

Campus Life

There are various events celebrated in our college like Spandan which is a cultural event, Resonance which is a tech event, and Athleema which is sports, etc. Spandan and Resonance are organized by 3rd-year students. In sports, there are basketball, soccer, cricket, badminton, volleyball, etc.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
