Remarks
The admission process was very straightforward, we need to apply through the college website and the college would schedule an interview, admissions are granted based on performance in the interview and overall grades.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for BCom is fairly outdated just like any other Indian college, professors are also a mix, some are great while most are worthless. Exams are conducted on time and are fairly easy to pass considering you solved all the questions provided in the class
Placement Experience
Students become eligible to sit for placements from the 5th semester. Some of the companies visiting the campus are JP Morgan, EY, KPMG, PWC, Accenture, etc offering starting salaries of around 4-6 LPA. Around 100 students were placed in our department out of 300 students. After my degree, I plan to pursue MBA from one of the top schools in the country.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is around 70k per year for BCom students and would increase if you go for any specialization. Scholarships are rare and mostly awarded to students from reserved categories or people from Karnataka.
Campus Life
The Department of professional accounting and finance organizes Samruddhi as an intra-collegiate fest for BCom students and it's usually conducted in October. Books and journals are in fairly huge quantities in the library. classrooms have a projector. Sports and extracurricular activities are given due attention as well. There are many clubs and committees on campus.
