True essence of college life and nice placements

The admission process was the same as that of other IITs. First JEE mains then rank in JEE Advanced. Getting a rank does not ensures IIT. Rank must be under the total seats in IIT which is typically 15000 (almost).

The ceramic engineering course is very interesting and mostly related to the chemical properties of minerals. It also has a nanotechnology part in the course which has various research-related opportunities. Faculty here at IIT BHU ceramic engineering are all highly educated Ph.D. holders and very student-friendly. The term exams are generally very tough in courses like the thermodynamics of ceramics. Relative grading is a boon here.

Internship opportunities are very good here. The highest internship package was around 2.5 lakhs/ month. The Minimum is 1.5 lakhs/ month. These all were for software developer profiles. Very few come for consulting and product management profiles.

The placements of IIT BHU are on the charts. The average placement of ceramic engineering in 2021 was 22.4 LPA. and the percentage of students getting placed is above 98 percent. Highest package of ceramic dept. was around 42 LPA and the minimum was 6 LPA.

Fees of IIT BHU are divided into 3 sections according to the student's parental income. Parental income Under 1lpa, between 1 and 5 LPA, and at least above 5lpa. There is no tuition fee for those under the 1LPA section while 1/3 of the tuition fee is for the 2nd section and full for the 3rd section. IITs are famous for their very good on-campus placement and internships. IIT BHU is among one the top in terms of good placements.

There are three major annual fests conducted at IIT BHU. Kashiyatra (cultural fest), Sparda (sports fest), and technic (technical fest). These three are organized on a very large scale. Students at IIT BHU have two main libraries, one for IIT and the other for BHU. Clubs and social culture here are at the top. Many clubs and councils are there.

The hostel and mess facility here is good. There is a good level of security and hygiene maintained in and around the hostels. One of many things IIT BHU is famous for is its food quality and the taste it maintains. There are hostels with 3 persons/ room and 2 or 1 person/room also. New hostels are also being made.
