One of the fastest growing IIIT

I got admission through CSAB counseling after giving JEE Mains. The cutoff this year has drastically increased as compared to last year. This is because of many factors like placements, permanent campus, and academic growth.

The faculty here is very good. IIITU has a student-faculty ratio of 24:1 from which 75% of faculties are Ph.D. Their teaching method is also very good. The faculty here are willing to teach. At IIITU they follow relative grading so it's very easy to get pass but difficult to score 8+ CGPA.

We have to compulsory do an internship or research in the 6th semester. The companies visit the campus for internship opportunities with stipends. We also have signed an MOU with IIT Mandi. So students can do their research at IIT Mandi.

At IIITU it is compulsory for all students to do a 6 months internship in the 6th semester. The highest on-campus package of last year was 47lpa and the average package of around 12lpa. The placements for this year are not revealed yet. But it is far better than in previous years.

The tuition fee at IIITU is 120000 per semester. The fees don't get hiked for the previous batch. But for the newly admitted batch, it may get increased. At IIITU there are various scholarships from the government but IIITU didn't give any scholarships of their own. There is an SBI branch on campus so you can get your Scholar load sanctioned from there very easily. The campus jobs are also very good.

Sports and extracurricular activities are also very good on campus. We have a fully functional gym, music room, 2 basketball courts, 2 volleyball courts, 6 badminton courts(2 in each hostel), 1 football and cricket ground and a race track is also there. AT IIITU there are 3 fests namely Yalgaar( Annual Sports fest), Mridang (Annual cultural fest), and 1 annual tech fest. The clubs at IIITU are EPMOC (event management club), EUONIA (Literacy Club), Aavesh (robotics club), Force (coding club, Pixel (photography club), and many other micro clubs.
