Remarks

When I applied for admission to Delhi University I was very nervous about how admission will be taken for the colleges but due to COVID-19, it was a merit-based selection. The eligibility criteria for applying under B.com for the colleges was the same as for other colleges or universities, i.e. one should have studied the subject of accounting, business studies and economics and if he opts for any other subjects then 2% marks will be deducted. I availed of reservations under the EWS for applying to the colleges. I don't have any improvement suggestions because now admission is being done on CUET criteria which I would have opted for if I was given the chance cause it would have aided me to get into a better college. But I won't the same for my college experience at first I was new to this city and didn't have much knowledge but with the flow of time, I met many colleagues and friends and participation in societies which made it a very good experience for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because along with my graduation I am also a CA aspirant who has cleared his foundation(first attempt) and going for the intermediate exam this time of year. I choose this course because most of the subjects were the same and being a commerce pass out it was a perfect choice for me. In my college, there are 15 to 20 facility members who take care of the commerce department in our college and there are almost 50 students in each class. Our faculty teachers are very qualified some of them were earlier government employees and one of them is a speaker at WHO. The teaching methods of faculty teachers were based on students' needs and they always used many examples to prove their facts. The term exams were never as per the time in Delhi University because in the first semester we were given a time of 5 months other than that second and third semesters were only 4 and 3 months, due to which I had a lot of pressure on my CA exam and regarding attendance. The exam level was moderate, not hard

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunities offered by the college are Noephyte consulting service(3months) , Garniche(3 months) and many more are still coming to the college currently since its the 3rd semester I have limited scope to apply but for last year students, there are plenty opportunities available. The project of the garniche intership is to get a good graphic designer for the task of posting on their social media and create promotional post for them. The NEO has intership as human resource intern and business development intern.

Placement Experience

4.5

The campus placement of my college is decent. It provides college placement from the third semester, to which I am also enrolled currently. The companies which have visited the college are 1. Deloitte 20-25 2. Neophyte consulting services 3. Chegg India 4. Stanza Living 5. Culture 6. Garniche I don't have any idea about the highest-ever package offered. Almost 60 to 70 percent of students got the placement. I have the aim of becoming a CA along with the completion of my college degree which I will achieve after that I want to apply for masters in economics to achieve my dream of becoming an economist for the Government of India.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college fees are around 11500 per year excluding exam fees of 500rs. per semester which is fair. The fee hike will affect students who are from different states and students who are living in PGs cause it will increase their expenses and cost of study. I haven't received any scholarship or financial assistance or job from the college campus but I have this year I have applied for an internship programme from the college.

Campus Life

4.5

My life at the campus is very good, the college fest and tech fest are mostly conducted in the months of October and November(during the time of freshers orientation) by the college societies and before the farewell of the third year student by the college, other than that society seminars are conducted by the societies each month (there are more than 20+ societies in the college). Our college library is moderately big and contains books as per the students and professors need it has 1000+ books and journals. Also, every class has a projector in it and our college has nearly every sports team except some. My college has many social groups some of them are ujjalo sanstha and sfs( students for Seva) which are not backed by the college and they provide food and teaches slum children free of cost. I am a part of ujjalo sanstha as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
