Remarks

Admitted through JEE Advanced. For Electrical Engineering, General Cutoff was around 5100. BTech EE is for 4 years. Admission is done through JOSSAA counselling. Full schedule of counselling is available on their site after JEE Advanced

Course Curriculum Overview

There is one minor and one major, there are quizzes too. Usually grading is up to professors individually. Exams are neither too easy nor too hard to pass. Being an IIT, one can't expect the exams to be too easy either

Class Size: 86Course Fees: INR 212000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For general 212000 For SC/ST there is no tution fee If parental annual income is less than 8,00,000 or you have income certificate, then 33% of tution fee is applicable. There has been no recent fee hikes. There are scholarships like NSP

Campus Life

There are multiple clubs here ranging from Coding, Softcom, AI, Zenith, Automotive, Robotics, Aeromodelling, DebSoc, GDSC, Oratory, Alpha, Filmski, MUN, VIBGYOR, etc. There are sports facilities too here. Badminton, Cricket, Football, tennis you can find them all here

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good, much much much better than what old IITs offer. There is a sweeper alloted to clean your room. There are lifts in Hostel. The hostel room is big. And you don't have to pay for the Hostel after 1st semester. So it's affordable too

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

All about my college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

From the 6 semester you will be eligible for the placement drive. Many companies visited LPU for recruitment and some of them are MNCs also The highest package is 1 crore from my batch and average is 7LPA. Around 90 to 95 % get placed.

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

The best out of best about iit ropar

I applied to iit gandhinagar electrical engineering and got rejected as my jee advanced rank was not as par as required to take the course.the admission process of our college is based on an examination called jee advanced and if u get a good rank and pass that examination u can enter our college.i also applied for iit hyd,iit jodhpur etc in which I have got an admission in another branch as I said earlier as I like the electrical engineering branch I joined iit ropar .or college might be worst in sports in comparison to other iits but they are always better than other iits in reasearch orientation side...Read More
