Remarks
I gave JEE Mains examination, after passing my 12th. Then the counseling was conducted by the OJEE, after which I had to go to the college for physical verification of documents. At first, I had to pay the hostel and the semester fees all at once. The application is released just after the declaration of JEE Mains results. You have to get a minimum of 65% in both your 10th and 12th to be eligible for admission. The cut-off is every year changes, so be updated in this regard.
Course Curriculum Overview
I didn't choose mechanical engineering, but mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineers are all-round experts, and their jobs will never end. The teachers here are very supportive, and help in every possible way, by providing notes, clearing doubts even after college hours, and some teachers even provide textbooks to needy students. There are 4 exams every year, and 2 semesters. Each semester has a 50 marks end semester exam and a 30 marks mid-semester exam. The rest 20 marks are from internal assessments, given by the teachers.
Fees and Financial Aid
The even semester fee here is 20500 and the odd semester fee is 17500. The hostel fee is 17000 per semester. At the time of admission, the students need to pay a security deposit, which is refunded to them after their bachelor's degree is over. There are many governments and private scholarships available for students, and eligible students can avail of them.
Campus Life
The cultural fest of VSSUT is vassaunt and the technical fest here is samavesh. These events happen once every year and are organized by the college. The sports event is illumina. The funding for the event is provided by the college and even the student's brind sponsors. There is a huge central library at the college for all books. All the classrooms have smart boards. There are many clubs and societies in the college, namely IIC, VSSSIC, Robotics, Veer Racers, Enigma, Ecell, Emotica, etc. The alumni network of VSSUT is the best in all of Odisha.
