MNIT provides admission on basis of jee main examination, there is counselling happens named Josaa and csab. So first we have to crack jee examination then counselling happens where India's top 100 institute participates.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty of mechanical engineering is excellent, all are very well qualified. Talking about the f:s ratio it's around 1:80 in lecture classes and 1:20 in labs and tutorials in the first year. After 1st year it's 1:100 in lecture classes and 1:30 in labs and tutorials. Term exams are two times in the semester, 1st is mid-term and 2nd is end-term, and the difficulty level is medium.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are good, but students also have to make effort from their side. Internships start from 3rd year and some students also get PPOs. For tech students, on-campus internships are very easy but for core branch students it is difficult they have to try off-campus also.
Placement Experience
Campus Placements are excellent most of the students are placed there. 250+ companies visit campus and which includes apple, amazon etc. So whoever wants to take placement maximum of them are placed. The overall highest package was 64 lakh last year and avg. the package is around 13lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees struture is divided according to the annual family income category. For above 8 lakh it is 98000 in 1st semester and after that it is 80000 per semester, which is almost same per year. Then for 5 to 8 lakh, it is around 47000 and for below 1 lakh catagory it is only 16000 per semester. Fees are almost the same per semester. There are many scholarships for students you can apply for there. And there are no campus jobs for ug students.
Campus Life
There are two annual fests, blitzschlag and sphinx which are cultural and technical fests. The cultural fest is conducted in Feb and the tech fest is conducted in Oct. After that, there are many clubs in college where students can participate and events from their side happen regularly.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are available for students. There are 10 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. The hostel provides us with a bed, study table and chair. Mess food quality is average. The menu is very diversified. The hostel registration process happens on starting of the year and it is very easy.
