Hello everyone, it is quite nice to share some knowledge about my college so let's begin. So, my college name is Asansol Engineering College. It is a college from West Bengal. It is a college under MAKAUT. I took the B.Tech course for 4 years. We can take admission through JEE MAINS and WBJEE, the form will come near late December and it will charge 500Rs for WBJEE and 1200Rs for JEE and there are some less for reservation.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Btech in ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION. I choose this due to my elder brother who is in a good software company, basically recommends going with this. The teachers are good and cooperative, they help the students very much and some are Ph.D. From top IITs. There are 4 terms each takes place in the last of months, the teachers teach us well so we pass it easily.
Internships Opportunities
The companies which offer internships are TCS, COGNIZANT, and VERZO. The roles offered are developer, website developer, and backend. We have to submit a project based on software or hardware. The teachers will help and support the students.
Placement Experience
Placements are available from the 7th semester and there is a number of companies that came to our colleges such as TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, and VERZO. The starting offer is 450000 and some bright students take the offer up to 1300000. The percentage of placement of students in noncore courses the quite good but for core, you have to work hard. I will go for the placement round of our colleges and try my best.
Fees and Financial Aid
The whole four-year course will take around 420000 Rs in total. It is quite affordable to some of the same-tier colleges. There is some scholarship like the Swami Vivekananda scholarship which helps the students. The placement is quite good and some good companies come also to recruit students.
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest is leganzza which happens around June. The library is quite good and almost all the books and journals are available. The classroom is clean and all the appliances are working properly. There are clubs for sports and social activities which are maintained by students as well as a teacher. There are sports teachers and sports equipment available in College.
