Remarks

The admission process is very smooth. Students are listed on the merit basis of their percentage in 12th. A minimum of 65 percent is required to get admission. If the percentage is high the admission process is easy. Only 60 seats are available for this particular course. If the seats are not getting full then first come first is being applied. Then anyone eligible for the course who has filled out the registration form can get admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course because I was interested in this field to build my future. Port operation is an interesting subject to me and I was really interested to know and learn about the operation and handling process of cargo and shipment at the port. I got to know about this course and also learned that the package after the placement is quite good. The placement records are really good for this course and in the college. The college provides internship opportunities to students and also the student can look for himself if any better opportunity there. The college is very nice all around. The facilities are highly educated and very cooperative with the students and provide all sorts of help for academic. The method of teaching is highly appreciable. The exam is held timely and easy to pass if you are consistent. Rules and regulations are followed very strictly. For this course, students have to wear a uniform on campus. Also, the management of the college is really appreciable.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Students did internships in gaint port companies like DP world, Kamarajar Port, and so many although stipend is not there. But students getting the chance to gain knowledge and experience in such big and potential companies is more important not the stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

After the 5th-semester students become eligible for placement and can sit for placement on the campus. There are number of companies that visit the campus like CMA CGA, Cogoport, Kuehne + Nagel. 90% of the students got placed this year. After the degree, my plans are to get placement and gain experience in the field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a bit high in comparison to other colleges but the university is Central Government University. Also is degree is in three major subjects that are Logistics, Retailing, and E-Commerce. There are various types of scholarships provided by the government which can be applied according to the eligibility of the students.

Campus Life

4.5

Annually a management fest is conducted named Estuary. All sorts of books and journals are available related to the course in the library. Students can play sports on the ground which is not too big but the ground is there and a basketball court is also available. But mainly the college focuses more on academics.

Placement Experience:

The placement process begins from the third year i.e. the fifth and sixth sem. But be warned the placement is pure dabba. The companies that visited are goldman sachs, pick your trail, venture lts, greenbay, taj, audible, TCS, etc. the package varies from 3.4 LPA to 12 LPA. These are just peanut money btw. The college says there's 100% placements ( joke of the century) but in reality only 70% gets placed. I plan to do MBA from a different college.
