Entrance Preview

I took COMED-K and scored a rank of 10645 i opted SDMCET as it was best college of North Karnataka with respect to the Stream Electronics and Communication.

Campus Life

The gender Ration is about 45 girls against the 55% Boys there are lot of extracurricular activities like Cricket, football volleyball all the game are at district and state level.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The food is the best you can get in any college of Karnataka. They have have a common mess for both boys and girls.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Admission

First of all I took COMEDK exam on 02 may 2017 and result was declared after a month. i got 69 marks. As per my marks my rank was very good and I took Electronics and Communication Engineering in SDMCET Dharwad. SDMCET is very good college in Karnataka which is in Dharwad.

Faculty

The faculty of the College are not that great there are only hand picked faculty who are very good like Prof. S. V. Viraktamath of Electronics & Communication Engineering, D.S.BHAT and D.V.PATIL of Mechanical, Prof. H.Vijay Murthy and Prof. Satish S. Desai.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is practical up to date and the assignments are project based that encourages better understanding. the assignments are also real world based that require ,the students, to undestand the subjects better. there are 3 internal test with lab tests include that test the student's knowledge in the subject

the eligibily might be from 3rd year. There are several companies such as capegemini hitachi patym dmart. 700 offers are offered. Highest is 25 lakh and average is around like 5 lakh. After the completion of my degree i would like to persue higher studies like MS.

Placement stats are pretty good, offers above 50LPA have also been granted to students, but they are not as common. With a good cgpa, 5+ LPA can be ensured. Students from 6th sem become eligible for placements, companies such as TI, Apple, Daimler Trucks etc have come for placements

The 6th,7th and 8th semesters are eligible for campus placement. There are many companies visiting campus but it differs every year. The highest package is 7L-8L and the lowest package is 3L. My plan after getting a degree is to get a job in a good company.
