There is no specific eligibility for the course at Jadavpur University. For pursuing BE degree at Jadavpur University, One should give WBJEE entrance exam and score a good rank. WBJEE is an All India Entrance Exam means every citizen of India is eligible to appear for the exam. For Computer Science, the cutoff goes very high. If anyone has a domicile certificate from West Bengal, he should score a rank below 150 to get into CSE, and for others, there is a huge competition and the rank should be less than 60. Every year WBJEE is conducted and the application form will be available in the online portal of the WBJEE exam. But the admission process is quite slow and it takes time. There are also increment rounds after entering the college where one can change their branches if they got selected. Generally for CSE, the cutoff of increment rounds varies every year and on average it goes up to a rank of 200. There are also different ways to enter Jadavpur University.

CSE is one of the top-rated subjects in terms of demands as well as job placements at Jadavpur University. The placement in CSE at Jadavpur University is almost 100% every year. There are lots of faculty in CSE at Jadavpur University approximately about 30-50. They have very good knowledge of almost every core subject of CSE. They focus not only on routine study but also on different project works and provide industrial-based training. The faculties of Jadavpur University are Top rated, they have graduated and done their Ph.D. from different IITs as well as foreign universities. They have very good experience of teaching. The Exam at Jadavpur University is between medium to hard levels. Every year new questions are asked in the semester exam which helps students to develop their ability to tackle any problems whenever they faced. Generally, the time of the exam is 3hr like in other Universities in India.

There are many companies like Google, Amazon, Apple, PWC, Texas Instruments, Samsung, Accenture, De Shaw, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, etc. come to Jadavpur University for offering internship opportunities to students every year. Both product-based companies as well as serviced based companies come at the start of the third year. They offer quite good stipends starting from 50k-2L per month for an internship. Roles offered in the internship vary from company to company and in general, Students work on the industrial project when they do the internship in the company. Generally, Tech companies offered them training and then offered them a project to do on their own and submit them within the due time. This is the same case also for the other company.

The placement of CSE is quite good at Jadavpur University and it s 100% almost every year. Many companies come to the campus for recruiting students such as Google, Amazon, PWC, IBM, etc. Every year students apply for a placement at the start of their fourth year. These companies also offered students internship opportunities at the start of the third year. Almost 50-60 software companies visit every year and offer full-time employment to students. Many students also give different exams like the gate and GRE for higher studies. I also appear for Gate and got a very good rank there. Almost every year, Many students score very well rank in the Gate exam of the respective domain of their study. I plan to do higher study after the BE degree.

Jadavpur University is a state University in West Bengal. The fees for pursuing BE program at Jadavpur University are quite low compared to other engineering colleges in India. For BE study the fee for 4 years of study is approximately ten thousand rupees. There are also many scholarships for the students who study at Jadavpur University (Like Swami Vivekananda Scholarship and many others). Even if the student who is pursuing graduate study at Jadavpur University has any financial problems, all the fees are released for the student which means the student can study for four years without paying any money. Jadavpur University is a beautiful university in any respect. Jadavpur University provides high-quality placement opportunities but the placement package varies from student to student & company to company.

Every year many fests are organized at Jadavpur University. And these fests are organized by the students themselves. Sanskriti is one of the famous fest organized every year. Jantra Tantra is one of the technical fest organized every year. There are two types of libraries at Jadavpur University, one is a departmental library and another is a central library. A large collection of books are available in both the library. The classroom is quite good but a little old. There are a lot of benches and tables available in the classroom along with the facility of ACs and fans. For sports, every year a fest is organized where students from many departments participate in the competition. There are many clubs at Jadavpur University. Some of the lightning clubs are Jadavpur University Science Club, Photographic Club, sports club, Mountains and Hiking clubs, etc.

The hostel facility is quite good and cheap in terms of cost at Jadavpur University. Hostels are maintained quite neat and clean. Meals that are provided in the hostels are also quite good in terms of both taste and quality as well as quantity. The menu is not fixed in the hostel, it varies from time to time every month. The Registration process is quite rigorous for hostel booking. Everyone does not get the opportunity to stay in the hostel of Jadavpur University unless they have a valid reason for staying. One should have his/her home, not near the hostel campus it must be at least a good distance from the University. Every year application form opens for admission to the hostel and closes sharply within a few days. Generally, most of the students stay in PG near Jadavpur. I stay in a Pg where the per month fees is 5000 rupees for bed and 2000 rupees for food for whole month and some extra 1500 rupees for other use like transport etc.
