Remarks
To get into Jadavpur university you have to appear for wbjee examination which is used to held once in a year . All the students including other state students can apply for it (though they have to secure better ranks in compare to the students of west bengal). Any 10+2 passed student can apply for this examination ( both PCB and PCM students can apply for it). You can find its eligibility criteria in detail here wbjeeb.nic.in. After the result, centralised counselling is held and also decentralised counselling is organised by every govt. college to fill the vacant seats ( it is generally organised just after 1-1.5 months after centralised counselling ).
Course Curriculum Overview
Currently I'm in the construction engineering department of Jadavpur university (2022-2026) . So I'm very much eligible to describe about it's environment.The faculties are really superb. They are legends in one word.All the teachers are highly qualified and most of them are engaged in their research as well. Talking about the exams, yeah they are timely taken in ju and in a proper manner, a bit tougher but if you study well then it will be easy for you.
Internships Opportunities
Yeah, there are internship opportunities also for 2nd and 3rd-year students. Many students are doing their internships in many reputed companies all over the india and world also. Both internships and placements are ops in ju.
Placement Experience
The placements are awesome in ju. Each and every student gets placement in a department every year and the package is 12-15lpa avg ( though it depends on some specific departments). Many students opt for higher studies and they used to get into top institutes like IITs, IIMs, IISC, DRDOs, ISROs, and many more FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES. Placement in ju is 100% and this is why it is a TIER 1 COLLEGE.
Fees and Financial Aid
Will you believe that the fee for persuing engineering in JU (except B.TECH in IT, fees =30,000 total) is 12,000 only (for 4 years). Yeah, it is. The semester fee is 42 rupees only. This is why ju is ju and there is a scholarship program for students ( whose annual income is under the said limit).
Campus Life
Oh yes , campus life in ju is awesome. One of the best campus ever and the culture in ju is fabulous . Every week there you will find a cultural programme is being conducted. There are a lots of clubs including motorsports club, mountain hiking , e-cell, photography club, painting club etc.

As jadavpur university is a tier 1 college and it is far better than any other college in west bengal
