Remarks

Nothing was bad as such. but in times there was a process of filing rechecking of your exams. I hate that process. because once you're fail then you fill recheck you get passing marks it's like give money and get a pass.

Entrance Preview

That Time we had CET and AIEEE i got seat through AIEEE exam. I was holding around 30K rank in AIEEE exam my seat was last seat left in 15% quota for non resident in Punjab

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure was very Hierarchical. Like starting from ABCZ in computer science. Learnt C++ and OOPS concepts from College only. There were dedicated staff for SQL and Computer Networking C++, Cloud Computing and for most difficult Subject Like Theory of CSE (Automata) and Neural Networks.

Internships Opportunities

No, I never heard in my tenure that there is any internship in my department. but we have JRFs for other departments like BioTech and zoology and chemistry departments

Placement Experience

5

Placements were so fine. they have a good tie-up with all the major IT companies. I have been interviewed by TCS, Amdocs, and Capgemini. The process was: Technical Written, then Technical Interview then HR Interview. for some companies, we have GD round as well. Capgemini Won me and I was placed in Mumbai for the job.

College Events

5

1. A college trip to Baba Buddha Sahib. 2. Sports Meet including Athletics, Football, Hockey, etc 3. Tech Festival: Technical this presents and other competitive games 4. Youth Festival: Other colleges compete for the Folk dance and Play/Skits Singing etc 5. Hostel Night: For all the hostelers we have a celebration 6. Placement Drives more that 30 Company visits yearly

Fee Structure And Facilities

its was very feasible for us. Govt University is such less fees that other institutions I was really lucky to have that college in financial ways. The fee was divided into two parts College fee and hostel fee. both were feasible. Max 18K for one year in the hostel too way less than other Colleges at that time

Fees and Financial Aid

I and my sister were studying in the same College she was in Jalandhar campus and I was in Amritsar. so University gives me 50% off in tuition fees as blood relation discount.

Campus Life

4

Sports- won hockey championship interdepartmental for 3 consecutive years. enjoyed that part. The lab was good we have free internet to use. lab tests were difficult. I have learned C++ there in Labs only. we had game championships as well in our computer labs. the infrastructure was fabulous according to the technology at that time.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel was a bit congested but even if I had separated room. my dear friends will be in my room only so it's good that we have 2 people in one room. Mess food was not that quality. but I enjoyed there breakfast a king-size parantha and the Sunday noon meal, chane puri. till date nowhere found that taste again.

Alumni/Alumna

Well, seniors were too much friendly with our batch in-fact faculty members were very sincere. am still in contact with some of them.

Exam Structure

For 100 Marks exams 8 Question per exams in which we have to attempt 5 questions 20 marks each. so we used to write 4 pages per question and they provide 16 pages Sheet. extra sheets were also allowed to be used. No Multiple choice questions in exams.

Admission

Qualified the exam CET(Common Entrance Test) from PTU Qualified AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Exam) CET was mandatory to take admission in any Punjab based college. CET Rank: 8K something AIEEE Rank: 30K Something 1st Day Counselling for 15% people outside Punjab. Got seat in M.Tech(Five Years Integrated Course) in Amritsar Campus I was very lucky because that was the last seat in Amritsar campus

Faculty

4.5

All the Faculty were Post Graduated all were GATE exams qualified. some of my senior teachers were Ph.D. holders. Best Guy in teachers was Gurvinder Singh and Hardeep Singh. Both were Ph.D. in CSE. The best things were Computer Networking and cloud computing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

You will get many opportunities to furnish yourself as the faculty members are too supportive. You will get to know many conference on daily basis that can upheld your boost and make you morally supportive. Doing masters there would lack of strictness as they thought your are grown up, they considered you only for exams and other circulum activities. University should seriously take in action the role their teachers are playing as they sometimes bunk many classes. Exams are not that tough as you would require basic knowledge of your subject.
