All about VIT-AP University

There is an entrance exam called VITEEE. It consists of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude Reasoning. It is an online exam. Each question has a timer. You cannot skip the question immediately if you don't know the answers. You have to wait for those few seconds to go to the next question. Cutoff varies differently every year. You can find the admission process on the college website 'www.vitap.ac.in' There is a difference in Tuition fees depending on the exam you join. If you join through VITEEE conducted by the university, the tuition fee ranges from 2,00,000-6,00,000 per year. Or, if you join through EAPCET which is state level entrance examination for engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh, the fee is 70,000.

I have chosen this course because it has more scope for the future. There are many faculty with high profiles. The timetable for us is not fixed by the college, unlike others. We can choose our own faculty for subjects and slot timings too. For each faculty, there can be a maximum of 100 students. After the completion of the semester, the college collects feedback from the students about the faculty and their performance. For a semester we have two internal exams namely CAT-1, and CAT-2 and one final exam FAT. CAT(continuous assessment test) for 50 marks and FAT(final assessment test) for 60 marks. These are descriptive examinations and each question carries 8-12 marks. Subjects may be open or closed-book exams. To pass a subject we need to score a minimum of 40% of marks combining CAT-1 CAT-2 and FAT.

Many companies visit our campus. Students are eligible for 6,7,8 semesters. TCS, Dell, Bosch, Amazon, Infosys, etc. Till now only two batches had passed out of this college. The highest package 63LPA international offers a data scientist.

You have to pay the tuition fee yearly in a single instalment. Cost varies from 2 lakhs to 6 lakhs depending on our entrance examination rank. Students get job offers from 3rd year 2nd semester onwards. They get an average of 5-7LPA. Placements are divided into two categories. Dream job offer which from 4-8LPA. Super Dream job offer which is 10LPA above. You have to maintain an above 9.0 CGPA to be eligible to bag a super dream job offer.

Life on campus is very interesting. We have vast exposure to students. As we have different classmates in a different subjects, we can make many friends. Our college has 100+ active clubs and a total of 600+ clubs & chapters. We have technical, non-technical, cultural, and different clubs. The library is fully air-conditioned with a capacity of 300+ students. We can find more books related to the subject then journals. Every classroom has a whiteboard and projector. You cannot find blackboard and chalk anywhere. Labs have 32GB RAM-supported desktops. The college focuses less on sports than academics. Clubs are generally organised by students. Some of them are CSI, ACM, Rotract club, Machine Learning Club, and Data Analytics Club.

Hostel rooms are not admitted and allotted on a First come first serve basis. Students are called based on their academic performance. Generally, students have to form a group based on the capacity of the room they want. Then the student with the highest cgpa is selected as group cgpa. There will be online counselling, students will be called by rank wise which is given according to cgpa. Type of rooms: 2 bedded AC/NON AC ?80k-100k per year 4 bedded AC/NON AC ?60k-90k 2 bedded apartment (attached bathroom with living room) AC ?120k 4 bedded apartment AC/ NON AC. ?95k You will be given a 3-6.2 feet cart, study table, study lamp, and wooden cupboards.
