Remarks

The eligibility for the course is to attend the WBJEE examination for west Bengal. Application forms and fee structures are given on the college website. There is some reservation for the west Bengal domicile. It requires 2 days for admission.

I choose this course because I wanted to build up my career in the IT sector. Different departments have different teachers with a great experience in teaching. All the professors have done Ph.D. from a recognized institution.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 133794 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus drives from the 6-7 semesters onward after no active backlog. Name of the companies: TCS, Accenture, cognizant, CGI, Bosch, virtues, HCl, godrej, TVs, and many more. 80 percent of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

1-year fee includes an overall 1,34,000. In which admission fee, Library fee, and tuition fee for both semester is added. Students belonging to west Bengal can avail of the scholarship of svmcm. And for other state students nsp 2.0.

Campus Life

The annual fest is celebrated every year from June- July. Technical quiz workshops and many more are conducted throughout the year. The Central Library consists of the Journal of the Institution of Engineers ( India ) Series A, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and many more.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
