Remarks
I applied through the JAC portal. I gave JEE exam for admission. I got 98.93 percentile in it. The cut-off for NSUT. It was 12,500 rank. My CRL was 11,990. There were 6 rounds of the admission process. I received the branch in 4th round. And we had to submit 90k fees in advance for booking our seat.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because IT is an emerging field. Also because I was not able to clear the cutoff for CS. The subjects are very much related to software engineering. The final exams are 2 times a year.
Placement Experience
Before the 7th semester, the companies start coming for campus placements. The percentage of students placed can vary for different branches. Almost all companies like Google, and Microsoft for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is 2L, 2.1L, 2.2L, and 2.3L for the respective 4 years. The fee hike can be around 10k-20k for the upcoming batches. The students can apply for scholarship schemes under the CPVSK for getting scholarships.
Campus Life
Life on Campus is enjoyable but the administration is somewhat strict. We have our annual fest Moksha in the month of March. We have a library which has all the books related to studies. We have a study block which is quite hi-tech.
Interview Experience
No. I did not face any group discussions or interviews or written tests for admission. It was only through the rank achieved in JEE exam. In some colleges, you might be required to give written tests.
