Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I was interested in the functioning of electrical and electronic items used in daily life. The faculty-to-student ratio is poor to average at best as one subject is taught to 70 students by one faculty member. The faculty members are highly qualified, however, the teaching method differs from person to person. Mid-semester and end-semester exams are conducted every semester along with regular class tests. It is not difficult to pass these exams, but it's difficult to score high in them.
Internships Opportunities
Several companies visit the campus for internship opportunities, the stipend varies from anywhere between Rs 5000 to Rs 200000 per month. These companies offer both tech-related and nontechnical roles.
Placement Experience
Students of semesters 5 and 6 are eligible for internships and those in semesters 7 and 8 are eligible for placements. There are a lot of companies that visit the campus like google, amazon, Microsoft, Salesforce, sprinkler, Samsung, etc. Details of the highest package and number of packages aren't revealed by the college. Around 70-80% of students get placed easily and a lot of them pursue further studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are hiked by approximately 5-10% each year. It is relatively costly compared to other government colleges/ universities. However, it's much cheaper compared to private universities in India. A few scholarships exist based on family income, and CGPA attained in college.
Campus Life
The inter-college annual fest is Moksha, conducted in March and the intra-college annual fest is Resonance, conducted in October. The library is huge and books from various disciplines are available. There are a lot of social clubs like the debating society, drama society, dance society, coding society, finance society, robotics society, mathematics society, and a lot of others. Students can participate in a lot of sports as well like cricket, basketball, tennis, athletics, powerlifting, etc.
