Course Curriculum Overview
In the first year, students are divided into 2 groups. One is known as the physics semester in which students of cs, ece, ee, and meta are included. Another is the chemistry semester in which chem, civil, and mech are included. Currently, it's my physics semester and I liked the curriculum, and faculties are talented. All you need is concentration and zeal to study.
Internships Opportunities
Currently, I am in my first year so I don't have much information about this but what seniors told us I will tell you. You can take an internship from 3rd year. There are foreign internship opportunities available. There is an alumni group known as ALCOM, you can connect with alumni and get referrals as well.
Placement Experience
The placements are good. You need a good cgpa and skill in the specific area. Here a lot of companies come from Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, etc. There is an opportunity for a foreign internship as well. In every branch placement is almost above 90%.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a lot of scholarships availed by central and state governments. But in MNIT as well 3 types of fees are there. First, income <1 lakh: 100% tuition fee waived.
1 lakh
Campus Life
Honestly, there are a lot of clubs and almost all the clubs have active members. There are a lot of sports. Every month there is so. E tournament related to sports or clubs happens. There are clubs of dance, music, fine arts, media, English, Hindi, NSS, think India, mavericks, etc.
Admission
I gave JEE MAIN and got a rank of 39K. Then I filled out the josaa counseling form online. It had 6 rounds this year. I got mint metallurgy in 6th round. It was my 30th preference on the college preference list.
