MNIT in Brief

Sometimes one has to choose a decent course with a decent college over CSE in any private or 3rd Tier college, hence I made this decision. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20. The faculties of MNIT are highly qualified. About the teaching method, I would say it's about your coordination with the method of the teacher. The fact is most students study on youtube during exams. So make YouTube your partner during exams to pass it. Due to Covid to make things back on track, 3 semesters were completed in a year, but now it's settled to 2 semesters a year. That is a term exam every 3 months.

LMT, Reliance, and Ircon are some of the top companies that provide internship opportunities. They are usually available for students in the 5th semester. The stipend provided completely depends upon the skillset of students and the company requirements, but the average stipend provided is around 25k.

Students become eligible for campus placement in 3rd year. Top companies that visit the campus are IndiaBulls, Axis Bank, Amazon, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finserv, Airtel, and many others The highest package goes around 85 lakhs and the average package is 15 lakhs. I am planning to do a job after my degree to gain capital and then try something new.

The fee for odd semesters is 80100/- and for even semesters is 79300/-. The given fees are for the general category. Multiple scholarships are applicable for lower castes, low incomes, and also for students who got high ranks in JEE Main.

The annual fest of the campus is BLITZSCHAG, and the technical fest is TECHFEST. Another fest organized is Youthfest. All of them are held mostly in January or February. All types of Books and Journal is available in the Central Library. Also, the library is digitalized. The amenities in the classrooms are best in class. In fact, the lectures are held in Vivekananda Lecture Theatre Complex(VLTC) which is Asia's Largest Lecture theatre. Also, the architecture of VLTC is state of art. All the sports facilities except the swimming pool are available on campus. The gym is also available. There are more than 25 recognized clubs on campus and most of them are run by students. You would enjoy Campus Life here for sure.

A hostel facility is available for every student on campus. The hostel room is provided with a bed, table, chair, cupboard, fan, and light. First-year students are accommodated as 3 in a single room, and then everyone is provided a separate room.

For Btech, 12th Pass students in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths are eligible for this course. As it is one of the NITs, hence admission is through the screening exam called JEE MAIN. For my branch(Electrical Engineering) the cutoff rank for General Category in the year 2021 was 14500 in the last round of JoSAA counseling.
