Life at Mnit

I choose CSE as it has good placement and mnit cse too have a decent average package and a good number of students getting placed In lecture class 1:120 is the ratio whereas for tutorials it is 1:25 All teachers have at least done PhD Most of the teachers are excellent at teaching and clear most the concepts during class hours and exceptions are everywhere so some of the teachers are not doing good There are two exams in a semester mid-term and end-term if you have listened to your teachers well during class hours then it is not difficult to score well and it is daam easy than jee. we only read 1 night before exams still doing well

As I'm in my first year I do not know much about it but yes Google Apple Facebook Amazon and many top companies reach our campus for placements and internships and pay a good amount roles are sde and business analytis As now I'm a fresher so no projects have been done for me

Mostly in 3 rd year students start getting internships and if they are good enough then you can do it even earlier For cse there are more offers than the no of eligible students for seating for placements and besides cs and branches to have good placement and even if you are from some other branch but good at coding or a particular skill you can make a package even then a cse student For cs, avg package is about 20-25 lac and max is 64 lac Many big MNCs like Google apple Deshaw Deloitte etc reach the campus for placements In cse 98-99 % students get placed and for others, branches too have % about more than 80 My plan is to seat for placements or I would be starting my own startup

The fee is 62500 per semester and there are fee waiver options too for students whose family income is less than 1 lac complete institute fee is waived off For students whose family income is less than 5 lac then 33% of the fee is waived off And there are many scholarships and institutes that get you informed by themselves

Blitzschlag is our annual fest. Life at the campus is so fun every day something remains going on on campus seniors are much helpful and so the supportive infrastructure at mnit is good as compared to most of the old nits and clubs are also active enough

In the first year, there is room sharing of 3 -4 students in a room after that in 2nd year it is sharing of 2 then a single room is allotted from 3rd year and some get in 2nd year too Food quality is good and taste is okay leaving some days the only thing is we get bored by the same menu repeated every week Hostel rooms are good And mnit is located in the heart of Jaipur city so we you want a pg or any other facilities they are located at walking distance But I prefer taking hostels as the hostel fee is not high and if you remain on campus then you can connect with people more easily

Admission was through josaa as nits do not have any additional entrance exams besides jee mains for cs in mnit cutoff ranks for girls were approx:- Opening rank - 4000 Closing was -8500 And admission process takes place through josaa portal.
