An honest review of TCET

• The course curriculum and the course structure for the computer engineering course are pretty good. • The faculty: student ratio is approximately 1:7 • All the faculties are qualified (They have a bachelor's degree and teaching experience. Many of them even have a Master's and a Ph.D. degree as well) and use innovative teaching methods for better understanding and content retention. • The term exams (for the entire semester) take place at the end of the semester (~5 months) and they are easy to pass if studied well enough.

• Companies like JPMC, Meta (Facebook), Accenture, etc. provide internship roles like SDE, DevOps, etc. • The stipend for the internship varies across companies and is decided after evaluating the technical skills of the person who will do the internship with them. The typical stipend for the internship as per the available data is found to be around 50k-100k rupees per month for qualified candidates, with the maximum offered stipend being as high as ~12 pm. The typical duration of an internship varies from 2-3 months in general.

• The average cost of study (without any scholarship) is ~1.6 lakh rupees per year. • If the family's annual income is less than a particular threshold, then certain scholarships are available for them which provide them with up to 50% scholarship in general. For the top 5-10 students, TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) is provided. However, merit-based scholarships apart from that for the MHTCET exam are not available as of now (None I'm aware of).

• Excellent Infrastructure with clean, abundant, and quality classrooms, toilets, canteen, campus, library, reading rooms, seminar halls/auditoriums, labs, computers, sports ground, indoor sports equipment, and other technical pieces of equipment. • A big and excellent library (and e-library) with a lot of technical books (of local + foreign authors), journals, magazines, research papers, etc. in almost every field of engineering. • There are multiple (local and national) clubs and communities in the college hosting a ton of exciting tech fests and events every year.

Eligibility criteria: (Subject to change in the future. This was the eligibility criteria when I joined the college.) 1) Successful completion of XII Boards examination (>= 75%) 2) MHTCET %ile >= 95 for GEN category (OR) 2) JEE Mains %ile >= 94 for GEN category The second point majorly depends on the number of seats available in the college for a particular course and the relative rankings of people who have applied there based on the MHTCET exam. The specified data is based on the general trends seen in the cut-offs. The application form and other relevant documents, dates, etc. for admissions can be found in the CAP rounds (and the official TCET website) after the MHTCET exam results are announced.
