Life At NIA

I chose this course as Insurance is a sunrise industry that is currently growing at a very fast pace. The student ratio is also good and the faculty teached really well. Most of the faculties are having industry experience, which they share during the lectures also, it helps in getting real-life examples, which helps in understanding the course better.

All the insurance-based big companies visit our campus for the internship, from Marsh, and AON to Tata AIG, and Policybazaar, all visit here for the internship. Each student gets to do a project under the mentor which is allotted to them during the internship. They have to make a project report and give a presentation also.

From the very inception of the course, we have had 100 percent placements. That too in one of the top companies, both Indian and MNCs. Various job roles are offered, like underwriting, broking, consulting, claims department, cyber security, etc. The median package was 13 LPA and the Average was 12.5lpa. the ROI of the college is above 1. All the students are placed in zero-day itself, that too within 150 minutes. But this year, we didn't even have to have zero days, all the students were placed on privilege day itself.

Various scholarships are offered here, and for fees also, you can ask for a loan from any bank, they will be more than happy to provide you with the loan. Bank of Maharashtra and Bank of Baroda offers collateral free loan up to 15lakh for this college

Our college celebrates its annual fest called Manthan in February. Apart from this, every festival is celebrated here with loads of excitement. The cultural committee works its best to keep our life interesting. There are 14 other committees in college, and each committee has a well-defined goal and works for the betterment of students. There is a swimming pool, Sauna, steam bath, Basketball Court, Wooden flooring Badminton court, and Gym also.

We have excellent hostel facilities in our hostel. We have Complete Wifi connectivity in all our Hostels. The food provided is also good, although fruits should be provided, else, everything is good. We have a special dinner once a week where we have various food items like Pav Bhaji, Gol Gappe, papdi chat, spring rolls, chilly chicken, chilly paneer, etc. We can always call warden or care takers if we have any issue, all of them are very friendly and supporting.

I applied for admission to NIA through CAT. It was a very exciting process, shortlisting for the interview was done on the basis of CAT or CMAT score, then on the day of the interview, first there was a GD round followed by an interview. The topic for GD was very easy, and in the interview, general questions were asked in the beginning, they asked questions related to family, educational background, related to home town, some economics-related questions, and a few insurance-related also.

The shortlisting was based on the CAT Or CMAT scores, which were then followed by a written test, 15 minutes were given to write on a particular topic, then there was a GD, which was on current topics, and finally, the interview took place.
