Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I like Maths in general and wanted to study higher Maths. Each subject in the first year is taught by a main professor. Every professor is very qualified and holds P.hD degree from prestigious colleges across India. Every professor's teaching style is unique and very subjective. In general, they teach well and try to help you understand the topic. Term exams at NSUT are held very timely. To be frank, paper is a little on the average side and modified versions of PYQs.You need to study at least a week before the exams to score well.
Internships Opportunities
All major companies come to college for internships to recruit students during 3rd year for various tech, non-tech and consultancy roles. The average stipend offered is 60000 per month. Tech companies assign you a group and give you a project to complete in 2-3 months. If they are satisfied with your work, they give you a PPO.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. All top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google visit campus for placements.1500+ offers were made this year. The highest placement was 1.25 Cr per annum and the lowest was 4 lpa in 2022. The placement percentage was around 94% in 2022. I wish to work for a top MnC Company after my degree
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is given at the time of admission. It includes all the fees for your 4 years B.Tech programme. Fees are hiked every year by around 10%. Scholarships are given by the Delhi government based on your family income. College also provides fee recessions if you are in the top 5% of your department
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest is Moksha and is held in the month of March every year. Various books are available in the Central library for use of students. Classrooms are held at the APJ complex which is top-notch in infrastructure. All basic amenities like a smart board, AC etc are available. Charging ports and bag holders are also connected to desks for students' use. The sports facility is excellent.NSUT has cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis grounds. Besides, we also have an athletic track, kabaddi courts and table tennis rooms. All kinds of societies are present ranging from music, drama, choreography, and comedy to coding and algorithm societies.
Admission
I am currently an undergrad at NSUT pursuing my B.Tech in Mathematics and computing. The cutoff of this branch is different for Delhi and outside Delhi region students. You need to get an AIR under 10k to get this branch if you are Delhi general student. One needs to appear for JEE main exam in order to get into this college. After qualifying JEE exam, you need to undergo JAC counselling which deals with the admission procedure of this college. If you belong to OBC, SC, and ST categories, the cutoff gets a little higher(you can get it at less percentile) compared to the general category. One more thing, JAC considers your CRL rank for admission, not your category rank.
