NIA- The place to be

The curriculum is updated regularly. It is a mix of both insurance and management subjects. The faculty is extremely experienced. The subjects are thought via case studies, group discussions, site visits and guest lectures. There is relative grading in exams with 50% attributed to internal evaluation. The course is trimester based with 6 trimesters.

Summer internships are conducted in the months of May to July. Companies- Marsh Brokers, Mahindra Brokers, Go-Digit, TATA, SBI general, HDFC Ergo, Finally, Marsh McLennan, Care health, Magma, AON Brokers, Manipal Cigna, Bajaj Allianz, Reliance, Aditya Birla Health etc.

Students are placed well before the end of the course. NIA has witnessed 100 per cent placements since its inception. Placement statistics- Mean- 12,50,000 Median- 13,00,000 Highest- 18,00,000 Many students get PPOs and PPIs. Companies like SBI, Marsh, Mahindra Brokers etc. come for campus placement.

The course fee, in total for 2 years is, 9,53,000 and hostel charges are 3,07,000. Students are offered based on merit and financial background. Students have to mandatorily do 2 months of summer internships with a stipend ranging from 10,000 per month to 70,000 per month.

Summits like Insurance, CD Deshmukh and Human Resource summit are conducted Every student is allotted a committee such as Pravartak, Place-com, Admission committee etc. The library is very rich and every kind of sports facility such as a badminton court, swimming pool etc are available

Hostels are co-shared, with- A clean and fully functional washroom A balcony A dressing area 2 beds with 2 study tables Separate storage units Every floor has a washing machine and water dispenser. Rooms are cleaned daily.

The admission process is quite seamless. You can avail of admissions based on your CMAT or CAT score. You can register at NIA's website and fill up all your academic, extracurricular and previous job experience information. Based on this information you'll be sent a mail for GD/PI. After this process, a merit list will be uploaded on the website and students selected can pay the fees to avail of admission.

Topics for GD- current affairs, economic and social topics such as pros and cons of social media. Preparation tips- Read newspapers, and develop speaking and listening skills. Questions asked in PI- Extracurricular activities based, job experience based, general HR questions, basic questions about insurance. Tips- prepare answers, read about insurance and NIA
