Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because of my interest in this subject. I was interested in physics since childhood. When I got admission, I was expecting the professors to be helping. But, to my disappointment, here most of the time students have to help themselves and each other. Most of the professors don't care about the students. They only care about completing the syllabus. Our faculty is well qualified but sometimes, they fail to understand what it takes to help students. But there still are some professors who really want to help us out. The teaching methods of many professors are not interactive. Visualization is absent in most cases. The exams for a few semesters were held before time and were difficult to pass but most of the time they are held at expected times and are somewhat easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

1

Coding Companies like coding ninja offer internships to students on the bases of their programming skills. Students get internships in web designing and digital marketing. But, if you don't know anything about programming, there are no internships for you.

Placement Experience

1

The placements here are not great., Science courses rarely get any placement opportunities. For most of the science students opt for higher studies to get employed. Companies like coding ninja visit our college may provide coding jobs. The average package recieved is around2.5 to 3 lakh per annum. Less than 15% students get placements. I, being a science student plan to go for higher studies in physics.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite affordable. Many students also get scholarships and financial assistance from the college whereas campus jobs are slightly difficult to get. Some scholarships offered are The university and college karamchari union book- grant, pt. man mohan nath dhar book- grant, Sardar kartar singh Grover memorial book- grant, etc. financial assistance is offered to students who lie below the poverty line and those who have lost either one or both parents.

Campus Life

5

The annual fests at DU are very famous even among the students of other universities. The annual fest of my college i.e. Sgtb khalsa college is named LASHKARA. Here we get to see various performances from great artists and enjoy ourselves a lot. Also, we can go to the fests of other du colleges too. The college library is full of variety and we can get all kinds of books issued from there. The classrooms of khalsa college are the best in the university. they are big and air-conditioned but might lack visibility. Sports and extracurricular activities also take place on campus but you have to reach out for them. Similar is the case for social groups and clubs.

Admission

At my time, admissions were based on class 12 board results. We had to fill out the application form for the university from Delhi university's official website, i.e. du.ac.in. But, now, after the covid period, as we know the studies and also, the board results of students have suffered a lot. Therefore, the National testing agency came out with a new way to judge a student's eligibility to get admission to a particular college for a particular course. They introduced CUET (a Common university entrance test) in which students all over India have to give entrance examinations for various courses. Many universities including the Delhi universities accept the cuet results. The application form for CUET is available on its official website: cuet.samarth.ac.in. Reservation benefits: The application fee is Rs. 800/- for General and OBC candidates, and Rs. 350/- for other reserved categories: these have seats reserved for them. Some Religious minorities also get reservations in some colleges.

Other Applied Colleges

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University - [GGSIPU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)

Because i could not pay the fees of this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
