IIM Visakhapatnam

I chose this course because I wanted to broaden my career path as it provides a perfect blend of different specialisations and I would get exposure to various fields and choose accordingly. Faculty to student ratio is about 1:70, as each section has around 68-70 students. All the faculties have done Ph.D. from renowned universities and have prior research work done as well have done their MBA from prestigious universities. Exams are trimester wise along with a midterm each trimester. It's pretty moderate to difficult to pass

The companies that come are Adani, Bain, Yes bank, ICICI bank, state street, beats and bulls, and ABSYz, and the stipend provided ranges from 30,000 to more than 1 lakh rupees. The roles provide are sales and marketing executive, business development intern, finance executive, Strategic planning, etc

100 % placements are provided each year and the highest placement was 32 lakh. I plan to get a marketing job role. Several companies visited our campus like Goldman Sachs, state street, Adani, Bain, Cognizant, etc. we get eligible for placements from 5 th trimester

The cost to study is similar to what is charged in other IIM and fees are increased gradually per year as my college is making its permanent campus.NSP scholarships are provided and financial assistance is provided to students who have financial problems and earning of less than 5-6 lakhs. The stipend provided average is around 50-60 k for 2 months

Life on the campus is hectic but extremely enjoyable too. There are days when you will be very much while some days you have to sit all night making your assignments. More than 1 lakh journals are there in the e-library of our college and A.C and washing machines are provided in the hostel. Sanshrey, Sangram, and Vridhi are some annual fests

The hostel is great with multiple cuisines. The locality is rural but shared auto is there for traveling. A.C. and washing machine are provided and multiple food cuisines are there. It is necessary to live in a hostel, pg cant be taken

The eligibility for the course was through the CAT exam. After the CAT results, people from the general category required a minimum cutoff of 70 % tiles in each section and 85 % tiles overall. Whoever had passed this criterion got an email from IIM Vizag around late January in which it was written that there will be a second cutoff list which will be provided after submitting their application form in which we had to fill in our academic details, a one-pager SOP and our achievements. about 2 months were given to fill the form after which 2 and the list came for the P. I round. I would like to make 1 improvement in its process the P. I round was conducted very late here compared to other colleges which made it difficult which college to choose or skip.

There was no Group discussion. In an interview, I was asked about farm laws, about myself, why MBA, and what internships or projects you did in your college. I prepared for my interview by reading about current news, what is happening across the world, and my subjects
