Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose the computer science engineering program because I have always been interested in technology and programming. The course curriculum is well-structured and covers all the essential topics in computer science, including programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and software engineering. The faculty-student ratio is quite favourable, with around one faculty member for every 50 students. This allows for a more personalized learning experience and ensures that all students receive the necessary attention and guidance. The faculty members are highly qualified and have a wealth of experience in the field of computer science. They use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on projects, to ensure that the students understand the concepts and are able to apply them in real-world situations. The term exams are conducted on time and are generally quite challenging. However, the faculty members are always available to help students

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship opportunities available with my colleagues are quite good. The university has a strong network of industry partners that provide students with internships in a variety of roles. Some of the companies that have offered internships to students in the past include Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, and Wipro. The roles offered under these internships include software development, data analysis, and machine learning. The stipend for these internships varies from company to company, but it is usually around INR 10,000-15,000 per month. The projects assigned to students during these internships vary depending on the company and the role. Some of the projects that I have worked on during my internships include developing a web application for a retail company, analyzing customer data for a financial institution, and building a machine learning model for a healthcare company.

Placement Experience

5

The placements at my colleagues are quite good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. In the past, a number of top companies have visited the campus, including Amazon, Microsoft, and IBM. The number of offers made by these companies varies from year to year, but it is usually around 50-60 offers. The highest package offered by these companies is usually around INR 40 Lakhs per annum, and the average package is around INR 7 Lakhs per annum. The profiles offered by these companies include software development, data analysis, and machine learning. Around 80% of the students in my batch were able to secure placements through campus recruitment, which is a great record. As for me, I plan to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science abroad after completing my undergraduate degree. I believe that this will provide me with the knowledge and skills I need to excel in my career and achieve my professional goals.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the computer science engineering program at my university is quite reasonable. The total cost to study for the entire duration of the program is around INR 6 Lakhs. However, the university does have a policy of annual fee hike, which usually ranges from 5-10%. The university offers a variety of scholarships, financial assistance, and The fee structure for the computer science engineering program at my university is quite reasonable. The total cost to study for the entire duration of the program is around INR 2.35 Lakhs. However, the university does have a policy of annual fee hike, which usually ranges around INR 10000. The university offers a variety of scholarships, financial assistance, and campus job opportunities to help students cover the costs of their education. I was able to secure a scholarship from the university, which covered a significant portion of my tuition fees

Campus Life

5

Life at the campus is quite enjoyable. The university has a vibrant social life with many events and activities in that students can participate in. The library is well-stocked with books, journals, and other resources. The library is open for extended hours to provide students with access to the resources they need. The classrooms are equipped with modern amenities such as projectors and internet connectivity. The university has a wide range of sports and extra-curricular activities that students can participate in. There are sports teams for cricket, football, and other popular sports, as well as music, dance, and theatre groups. The university has a group called "codex" that is run by students, it is a platform for students to connect with each other, share ideas, and collaborate on projects. Additionally, there is a website called "soa.in" that is run by students, this website provides students with up-to-date information about events and activities happening on campus.

Admission

The admission process for the computer science engineering program at my university was fairly straightforward. To be eligible for the program, applicants were required to have passed their higher secondary examinations with a minimum aggregate of 60% in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The application forms were available on the university's official website, and the application fee was Free The application dates were announced on the website, and the deadline for submitting the forms was typically around June.

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
