Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the computer science engineering program because I have always been interested in technology and programming. The course curriculum is well-structured and covers all the essential topics in computer science, including programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and software engineering. The faculty-student ratio is quite favourable, with around one faculty member for every 50 students. This allows for a more personalized learning experience and ensures that all students receive the necessary attention and guidance. The faculty members are highly qualified and have a wealth of experience in the field of computer science. They use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on projects, to ensure that the students understand the concepts and are able to apply them in real-world situations. The term exams are conducted on time and are generally quite challenging. However, the faculty members are always available to help students
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities available with my colleagues are quite good. The university has a strong network of industry partners that provide students with internships in a variety of roles. Some of the companies that have offered internships to students in the past include Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, and Wipro. The roles offered under these internships include software development, data analysis, and machine learning. The stipend for these internships varies from company to company, but it is usually around INR 10,000-15,000 per month. The projects assigned to students during these internships vary depending on the company and the role. Some of the projects that I have worked on during my internships include developing a web application for a retail company, analyzing customer data for a financial institution, and building a machine learning model for a healthcare company.
Placement Experience
The placements at my colleagues are quite good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The highest package offered by these companies is usually around INR 40 Lakhs per annum, and the average package is around INR 7 Lakhs per annum. The profiles offered by these companies include software development, data analysis, and machine learning. Around 80% of the students in my batch were able to secure placements through campus recruitment, which is a great record. As for me, I plan to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science abroad after completing my undergraduate degree. I believe that this will provide me with the knowledge and skills I need to excel in my career and achieve my professional goals.
