Course Curriculum Overview
Bcom(Hons) was one of the most famous courses of du. I really like this course, since I was from a commerce background. As per my eligibility criteria and 12th marks, I was eligible for the BCom Hons course. The faculty is really good. No matter if it is a government college but still, the faculty is perfectly maintained. The faculty-student ratio can be around 30 teachers for a course of around 200 students. The faculty are Ph.D. scholars, so no doubt about their knowledge. The teaching method is good. They teach with full dedication. The term exams were after 4 months in every semester. The difficulty level to pass is not that much. If regular classes are taken, then students can easily pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees: 9554 per year, There was no fee hike during my time. As the same every year. I have not got any scholarship, financial assistance, or any job to my level. Since I was of a general category. And job placements were not that good.
Campus Life
Annual fest and tech fest were not that much regular in my college at Delhi university. But periodically they are held for around 6-7 months. Books were not available of the latest version. Rest students can adjust to the old version too. Journals were regularly available. Du has fully focused on sports and extracurricular activities. Students were encouraged for sports. Special enhancements were given to sports students who participate. There were various societies and cell run by students. Like Nivesh, biz world, Manera, etc.
Admission
In my time, the admission process was on a cut-off basis of a percentage of 12th in the top 4 subjects. The admission process was easy. Everything was explained systematically. Proper Computerised and systematic process was there. I got admitted in 5th cut-off. Maths was a compulsion to apply for BCom Hons. In my time, there was no entrance exam. The admission process was totally online. The application form was to be filled out online on du website in the graduation section. The application fee was Rs 250. The application was open for around 1-2 months. I applied in a general category, so no reservation benefits. The online was fully perfect and systematic, and not many improvements were needed.
