Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course because it is a basic course and I just wanted any degree to opt for competitive exams like CDS, CAP, AFCAT, CGL, and BANK exams. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:50 The teachers were highly qualified as most of them had done PhD in their respective courses. The teaching method was monotonous as it is in any college The semester exams were conducted in the month of December, and in May irrespective of anything even in lockdown my exams were conducted online in the same months. The exams are pretty easy to clear, one just has to read the 10 years book of the respective subject and only 3 to 4 years were enough to clear the exam, one thing was a must which was to fill out the exam sheet and if possible fill the other supplement sheets also. Doing these 2 things was enough.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was around 8000 every year. In the first year, the fee was 8000 and the students did need not to pay any semester exam fee whereas in the 2nd year, the fee was 7000 and the students had to pay the semester exam fees of 500 each separately. Students can opt for a national scholarship on the NSP portal and get the documents verified in the accounts department of the college, the scholarship will provide them 10000 for that single year.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted every year in the month of March. The books are available in the nearby area Kamla nagar whereas if one just wants to have the photocopy of the books he can have them from the college stationery store in 100. Books in the library are available but have to be returned before the semester exams. No facility is available in the classroom just 4 fans and one socket to charge any laptop or mobile. Sports are available and one can participate in them as per their interest. There are many groups like debate groups and arts and culture societies and corporates which are all run by the students. Freshers can join them and follow their passion.
Admission
The eligibility of the course was just passing 10+2 from any recognised board. There is no entrance exam for getting admitted to the Bachelor of commerce, one just has to clear the cutoff based on 10+2% The application is available on the official website of Delhi university www.du.ac.in the application fee is just 100 and one can select as many courses as he wants, there are no boundaries for selecting more than one course and no extra fees are charged. The application is available from the month of May to June, it differs every year but mostly after or in the month of May. The reserved candidates get an extra benefit of 2-3% over general category people in any course. The list is declared in the month of August and one has to go if he clears the cutoff based on 10+2 %. There are many cutoffs listed on the official website of Delhi University, at least 3 cutoffs and one should wait according to the cutoff being listed compared to his 10+2 %. The admission process is pretty good.
