Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is lengthy, every month there is an exam in the college. Also, there are 75% criteria in college and if 75% attendance is not done then you have to do your subject exam the next semester. The faculty is supportive. Some teacher very supports you. They will behave friendly with you.

Internships Opportunities

In the college, there is a dedicated semester which is the 6th semester for doing the internship. Mainly the internship we have to go through off campus. But gradually companies are coming like this year some seniors got a product development role in American Express. And also some seniors got into some good companies as App developers and web developer roles through on campus.

Placement Experience

last year is 12lpa. The highest package of last year is 47 LPA on Amazon. And this year also placements are good. Some students got amazon, Groww, and other good companies. I think 90-95% of students get placed every year in college. And the internship there will be a dedicated semester for doing an internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

In college the fees hike every year I think every year 10000 increment per sem in tuition fees. Also, the state scholarship is available in the college. But the IIT and NIT scholarship where if your income is less than 2.5 lakh then complete tuition fees are off not available here.

Campus Life

in 2022, there is the first time the fest happened on campus. The cultural fest's name is Mridang and the tech fest's name is Meraki. There are 4 main clubs in the college. Avesh, Eunoia, Epmoc, and Force.

Hostel Facilities

In one room three person lives. Also, two fans and three almirahs, and three beds are provided in the room, There is a balcony in every room. And there washing machine provided to wash the clothes. There total of three hostels on the campus and in every hostel there is a mess, Non - veg and veg mess is in different hostels. The food quality is average.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

The admission is done through JEE mains exam. The reservation is available in the college. Their basic rule applied to Jossa. The admission process is too lengthy. Also, the cutoff increased of the college concerning last year's cutoff of JEE Main rank.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
