IMT-Ghaziabad is famously referred to as being the mecca of Marketing in North India. I have a passion for Sales and Marketing, and IMT-Ghaziabad, with its legacy of 40+ years, illustrious alumni network, and vibrant pedagogy, was an excellent opportunity. The faculty-student ratio in IMT is around 60:1. The teachers here are highly qualified and have ample industrial experience to provide us with a practical approach to cases. The faculty at IMT includes F.P.M. degree holders from prestigious institutes like IIM-Ahmedabad, XLRI-Jamshedpur, etc. The schedule of examinations is provided way before the commencement, which helps us prepare well and excel. The examinations are designed to evaluate the student's understanding of concepts and ability to implement them in cases. Passing the exams is easy only if one attends all classes regularly and completes all pre-reads and homework timely.

Students become eligible for the summer internship placement process with the commencement of their courses. All students are shortlisted and selected for internships during placement week. After completion of internships, students become eligible for final placements. All students get placed during the final placements week. The details of the highest and average packages, profiles and companies are mentioned in the placement report on the official website. After completing my course, I wish to work as a Marketing Manager in a prominent MNC.

The fees at IMT were around INR 19,53,000, which includes all academics and living expenses which includes 4 nutritious meals each day. I have not applied for Scholarship or Financial Assistance for my expenses.

The annual fest at IMT is called PASSION and is conducted in the month of December. It is organized as a joint effort of the Student Affairs and Welfare Council and the Cultural Committee. The Tech fest at IMT is called Zetta, which the IT and Analytics club organizes in March every year. IMT's library is filled with thousands of books, including but not limited to Management related books from the fields of Marketing, Finance, Operations, and HR. It also has books from the domains of History, Geography, Science, Literature, and whatnot. Various internationally recognized Journals are provided to students regularly, both online and offline. The classrooms are filled with amenities like wide boards, a projector, comfortable seats, Air Conditioning, etc. Chakravyuh, the Annual sports fest of IMT is organized by the Sports committee, where students from across colleges participate. All clubs and committees at IMT including Health and Wellness Club, and Cultural Committee are student-run.

IMT Ghaziabad has a stringent process for admissions. There are two modes of shortlisting; the first is CAT/XAT/GMAT score-based selection, and the second is profile-based selection. I was shortlisted based on my CAT score, which was 94.96 percentile. I submitted my SOP, attended a critical ability test and a personal interview, and got selected for the first merit list. The process was very smooth. I got regular updates in my email regarding the selection of slots and a detailed structure of the entire process for my benefit.

I faced a critical ability test followed by a personal interview. In the critical ability test, I was evaluated based on content writing on a current affairs topic from the sports field. In the interview, I was asked about my work experience and real-world application of my work area, followed by an evaluation of the depth of my knowledge in topics such as Blockchains, Annual Budget, share market, and regulation. To prepare for these rounds, I opted for an online course, updated my General Knowledge daily, and revised concepts from my graduation and work.
