The main USP of the School of Management, NIT Rourkela is the Faculty profile and curriculum. Our faculties are from premier B schools like IIM A, FMS, IIT Roorkee, etc. Our curriculum is primely focused on practical learning through different activities like Management Games, Business stimulation, Case studies, doing real-life business, etc.
Internships Opportunities
Tech Mahindra, State bank of India , TATA steel, and many companies are visiting for internships and providing stipends. the roles are Marketing Intern, Management intern, Financial analyst intern, etc.

As the School of Management, NIT Rourkela is a new department so it is in Growing mode every year placement statistics are rate is increasing, In the last year, the average was 7.5-8.2 LPA and the highest was 12 LPA.

For Fest, NIT Rourkela conducts many fests one is East India's biggest fest INNOVISION and part of that is NITRUSTAV, COSMO _MULTI ETHNIC FEST, VRIDDHI, etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are 8-9 Boys hostel and 2 girls hostel for strength 8000+ students the food are very good apart from that hostel contains A common room ,reading room, GYM centre, badminton court and volley ball court
Admission
For the School of Management, NIT Rourkela eligibility criteria are 1. Student graduate from any stream and a score above 60% or 6.5 CGPA. 2. The candidate should appear in CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT. 3. Group discussions. 4. Interview Experience
Yes, the SOM NITR admission process is similar to other top B-schools. After Shortlisting in the first round on the basis of entrance scores like CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT Students are seated in group discussions and then personal interviews. In my time Russia war started so My GD topic was "What is the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war on the Indian Economy". so read the newspaper and be up to date with Current affairs.
