Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very intensive, it covers all the basic fundamentals of business to ensure people coming from varied fields get a good understanding of business concepts. The faculty base has a good balance of research as well as industry professionals.
Internships Opportunities
I was offered an internship at TATA Communications with a monthly stipend of 60k with an excellent role of my interest. The internship will start in April and the details of the project and tasks will be communicated accordingly.
Placement Experience
Placements at IMT are pretty decent, a lot of companies come to campus to hire good candidates. The large batch size creates a competitive environment in placements but everyone gets placed in good companies with good roles.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are comparatively lesser than other institutes and there is a scholarship and fee assistance for eligible people, details of which are available on the website. The cost to study is very affordable and there are no separate hostel fees it is included in the total fees only.
Campus Life
IMT is known for its tagline "IMT never sleeps". It is a very lively environment at IMT at late night as well we can see people playing sports, indoors and outdoors and people studying in the library or doing projects and assignments in groups. There are a lot of clubs and committees which are solely driven by students and they organize a lot of events that are very engaging and maintain a festive environment throughout the year. There is a gym facility and all sporting facilities and equipment are present and working.
Admission
The admission process was good. It was revamped that year which included categories like exceptional profile, exceptional work experience, or exceptional score. I appeared for CAT and my admission was done through that score only. There was a critical thinking test and later an interview with two panelists. The process was quick and the portal was also responsive.
Interview Experience
There was no GD, instead, there was a critical thinking test for which the topic was given on spot and was time bound. Later on, there was an interview with 2 panelists who were very collaborative, friendly, and feedback oriented.
