Course Curriculum Overview
Since IMT G is regarded as the mecca of marketing, I had an interest in it and decided to pursue it even before I enrolled in this college. We have world-class faculty and a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:15, so it makes sense that we would have a good mix of faculty and students to allay our concerns, both academic and otherwise. Most of the faculty have advanced degrees in business, such as an MBA from a prestigious IIM or a Ph.D. in a business-related field, so they are all knowledgeable in whatever subject they teach. and in addition to that, they have rich professional experience that enables them to give us accurate insights on any given subject.
Placement Experience
When we first start college, we have a month-long foundation term under our belts. Around the end of August, our first term begins, and by the end of September, companies are starting to approach us about summer internship opportunities. At SIP week, several large corporations made extremely generous offers, including Mondelez, which offered 1 lakh 50 thousand, Bajaj Auto, which offered 1 lakh 60 thousand, Pernod Ricard, which offered 2 lakhs per month, and Zydus Wellness, which offered 1 lakh per month. Both final placements for seniors and summer internships for juniors had 100% placement rates.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of our fee structure is only 19 lakh 53 thousand rupees, and it covers all expenses for two years, including mess food and hostel fees. If we divide it by years, the first year would be 11 lakhs and 53 thousand, and the second would be 8 lakhs. Those who do well academically and in extracurricular activities their first year may be eligible for a scholarship worth up to one lakh rupees (up to even more, depending on many other factors). Here, we receive an average campus placement of $17 lakhs and $28,000 as well as a stipend when we secure a summer internship, with an average stipend of $85,000 over the course of two months.
Campus Life
Campus life is as enjoyable as it can be. We have an annual event called Passion, which this year ended on December 12th. We also have Chakravyuh, which will be held between February 10 and 12 and is kind of like the Olympics for business schools. We also have about 20 to 21 clubs and committees, including the student council, The Eye, the admissions committee, the academic committee, and the student government. The BGS committee, Mark-up, alumni relations committee, and many others organize a variety of festivals and events on our campus, including open mic nights, the marketing world cup, and too many others to list. We also have the IMT G library, where you can choose from thousands of books on a wide range of topics. This library also receives new arrivals of books on newly updated topics in a wide range of fields. Our classroom can accommodate between 60 and 65 students at once so that teachers can interact with each and every student.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostel is broken up into several different blocks, some of which are specialized. We have the I, F, G, E, and H blocks, each of which has three floors and about ten rooms that are shared by two students. We have a senior-only building called K. We have a water filter on each floor and washroom facilities that are available that are efficient so that there is no line-up in front of bathrooms. It is a large block with milestone architecture composed of 8 floors and each floor has roughly 35 rooms. We have the IMT mess, which serves cutting-edge food four times a day for breakfast, lunch, and snacks from 5:00 to 6:00 and dinner from 8:00 to 9:30.
Admission
We had to complete the admission form in January, and then, based on our CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, we received a call letter for GDPI. The admissions process was both rigorous and easy. I took the CAT exam, so I uploaded my 96 percentile CAT score in the admission form. As a result of my high score, I received a call letter from GDPI and then had the option to fill out a slot for an interview; the slot I selected was confirmed 15 days before the interview. I then had an interview, which was quite enlightening; the panel was pleased with both of my responses and quite receptive to them. Then, after about a month, I received a letter confirming our conversation and informing me that I had transferred to the IMT Ghaziabad campus. I was then given a timeline to pay my first installment of fees, followed by my second and third installments, and finally, on June 26, I arrived at the college.
Interview Experience
The admission process was as follows: on the day of the interview, we were given a topic for a writing ability test which was the effects of social media advertising. We had 15 minutes to come up with a response before our interview began.
