Course Curriculum Overview

I was very interested in computer science so I decided to opt for the course here since my Jee rank was not that good enough to get any nit. The faculty-student ratio is good. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. Or have years of experience in their particular fields. They are very friendly. The teaching method is very good with the structured syllabus. There are four sessional tests, out of which three are taken into consideration.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like TCS, IBM, and amazon visited our campus with a good stipend. The learnings are very effective since the courses are highly designed taking consideration of today's world. There are a lot of practical activities which make each student skilled in many fields.

Placement Experience

From the sixth semester onwards placements are started. There are many good companies that visit the campus with an average package of 5 lakhs and the highest goes to thirty lakhs per hanuman. 80 to 90 percent of students get easily placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite low compared to other private university. As compared to the fee structure the quality of education is very good. They have a special training cell for internships and jobs.

Campus Life

The algorithm is the tech fest in our university which happens annually. The sports facility is very good. There is good infrastructure for sports on the campus and have high-quality university gym. Many clubs are there for musicals, dance sports, and other activities.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is not bad. Hotels are a little crowdy. Although it is a lot of fun living there. Mess food is very good. Nonveg is not provided in the mess. There are shops and restaurants where various types of food are available.

Hostel Fee: INR 34000 per year

Admission

Admission is based on 12th mark and Jee mains marks. You can visit official website of Chitkara University to know more about the admission process. The team will guide you. There are no such reservations on the basis of caste.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
