I choose this course because IIT BHU has a very vast alumni network and mining is the oldest branch of this institution. The placement offer and campus are very beautiful. Also, the campus is in the heart of Varanasi which is called baba ki Nagri. IIT has a very talented proff. To take classes, apart from class there is a tutorial by Ph.D. students for b tech students. For girls, it's very good that nowadays reservation for girls has increased and many branches like mining and metallurgy also take admission of girls students. Also in our college in mining department, there is a scheme named the " Sundora Banarjee Scholarship " through which every year one girl with the highest marks gets awarded by 3000/month. About the exam there are 2 main exams mid sem and endsem in one-semester .apart from the exam quiz, assignments are held timely. For class, there are many lecture theatres to attend classes. Proffs are highly qualified and experienced.

Just like placement, there are some roles for internships. Companies like Google, Amazon, Salesforce, Microsoft HSBC, EXL, Axis bank, etc visit the campus. 90% of students got internships till now and still counting. The first step for applying to companies is to build a resume where we include our skills, projects, extra curriculum, etc. Internship work Starts in summer vacation.

From the final year odd semester, students are eligible for placement. Many students get Pre Placement Offer also after doing an internship which is eligible in the pre-final year. There are many many roles provided by companies like Software developer, Data Scientist, Consultant, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, and Product Manager, and many students study for the core job. Companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Axis bank, HSBC, ICICI, Rakuten, BNY Mellon, EXL, Perceptive, fractal analytics etc 300+ come to hire our students. This year highest packages for international and domestic are 2.05 cr and 78 LPA respectively. And the average is 30.55 LPA. Placement Percentage 70+ till now and still counting as phase two is not finished. My plan is to join corporate only as a consultant as I got a placement offer.

The fee structure is different for different categories. And the Mess fee is common for everyone which is 15000 per semester. For SC ST and financially weak students other fee is 6050 only apart from the mess fee. Also, students can take education loans. About Scholarships, there are many Scholarships like NSP Scholarship for top-class students, Samsung Scholarship for JNV students coming to IIT, etc. About Jobs, there are many roles like Software Developer, Consultant, Analyst, and Product role. I got a job in a Consultant role with Package 13.1 LPA. There are many exposures for placement and we get guidance from Seniors.

There are 3big fest are organized in our institute "Kashiyatra" is the cultural fest of IIT BHU conducted in the month of January and "Technex" is the technical fest conducted in the month of March. Many celebrities are invited to perform and guests for think talk in both fest. There is also one Sports fest "Spardha" conducted in the month of October. About books and resources, we have a library which has a lot of books, journals, magazines and also an AC study hall. There are many clubs and councils in our institute. Students choose according to their interests and continue for years. Council related to photography, drama, Art, Astrology, Quiz, Sports, Modeling, Music, Dance everything is there. Apart from this, there is a social service council that has some clubs under it. Also, our students teach some poor students and celebrate every festival with them through "Gyan Udyaan" and "Sahyog club" and also donate old books for those needy students.

For admission, students have to apply for JEE Mains after the 12th having PCM as their required subject. And after qualifying Mains students have to apply for JEE advance. After clearing the cut of the exam student went through a counseling round where people get into top colleges like IIT and if students do not clear advance but score good ranks in Mains they can get into top colleges like NIT. In this exam, there is a quota for SC, ST, and OBC all category has different cut off to clear. Apart from this if an SC/ST student gets low marks in advance but qualifies for the exam in preparatory, ghat is a good opportunity for students to enter IIT. Many students don't know about this course but in some IITs, there is a preparatory course where students have to prepare for 1 year in IIT itself and be admitted to the allotted branch and course in the next year after passing the exams. Exams of preparatory courses are not tough, only PCM and English are taught. The fee structure is less for SC, ST, and economically weak student.
